Last Sunday, on a hike in a forest up a mountain, not far from here I found this long #weathered log πͺ΅ laying between some purple #heather #fields πand rocks on a beautiful sunny βοΈ day. On it were a few mushrooms, which I want to share with you today.

The mushrooms grew out of the area where the tree was decaying the most. Some mosses have grown around them too.
Close up of the most left ones. πβπ«πβπ« Standing tall next to each other. Very cute. The sun and the bright blue sky makes this my favourite photo. A beautiful combination of brown, orange, green and blue colours π¨
Another capture, do you see the #forest #ant π?
This cute group was on the right side when I was standing next to the log πͺ΅ the wood was very soft there and the ants had a nest in that area.

This last capture shows the entire length of the log πͺ΅ lying on the forest floor, the heather is not that bright purple here (yet).
