Hi all 😊🍄
My contribution to this #FungiFriday by @ewkaw will be a selection of photos from one big cluster of mushrooms I found 🍄🍂🍁
First I saw them while driving in the car, just in a split second. I thought… wow… I think I saw some mushrooms, and they must have been big. That would make a great post on Friday 😎
I couldn’t stop at that moment, but thought I will go back. A few days later I went back, parked the car close by and walked 👣👣 to the area I had seen them. Hoping they were still there. 🤞🏻
Yes…. I found them.
They where half way uphill and behind a very sturdy fence I could not cross or enter. Next to a busy road without a footpath.
So please bare with me, my photographs are taken by iPhone through the fence. I tried to get a few angles to show you how beautiful and big they were. Growing on top of a cut tree. At home I edited / turned the photos and cropped them for better viewing 🤓
Enjoy 😉 🍄
Viewing from the left side and slowly moving up…
Then I change the angle…
You see clearly here that some mushrooms already died and new ones sprung to life 🍄
A view a little more from above…
And below…
With the blue sky above…
And the last photograph…
Aren’t they pretty ? 🥰🍄
Thank you so much for looking, reading and supporting me.🙏 Hope you enjoyed my find 🍄🍁🍄🍂🍄
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.😊

Oh my goodness those are pretty! I have a super limited knowledge of mushrooms, but they don't look edible to me. I remember something about gills on the underside not being a good thing for your tummy. They are unbelievably pretty though!
My sister and I sometimes take walks here in Cape Town, in our own beautiful Newlands Forrest, where one can forage pinerings and even porcinis if you come early enough, just after a bit of rain, and of course if you know where to look!
Sounds a lovely walk in your forest.
Sometimes you are lucky to find mushrooms in unexpected areas, like I did. In a forest you have more change. In the right season… and finding edible ones… yes, you need to know the spots 😊Thank you @clairemobey. Not sure about this kind/ name. But they don’t look edible to me either.
