On several occasions I have spoken to you about my grandfather, and that due to "medical" indications he has to walk daily; one of the places we usually visit is this beautiful natural park of great dimensions, there we can see many species of beautiful mushrooms. On this walk we were able to see a mushroom that we called ¨hongo-repisa¨: a really beautiful mushroom with a very particular shape

Fungi ¨Polyporaceae¨: are one of those genera that have many species, and accordingly they can vary in shape, color and size. These mushrooms commonly grow on the surface of wood, and as you can see they have an irregular shape and a hard texture, which suggests that they cannot be eaten

The species of this fungus is from the genus of ¨Ganoderma¨: a type of fungus that is widely used as a ¨medicinal¨ to treat different conditions. The most striking thing about this fungus is the way it develops on wood or tree trunks, it has a particular appearance in the form of ¨cow's hooves¨ or something similar. I don't know what kind of ¨ganoderma¨ it is, since there are more than fifty different species

I love visiting this place with my grandparents, since while Luis looks for mushrooms for his posts, my grandmother Gaby and I take her ¨mobile phone¨ ¨Motoe7plus¨ to take pictures of the mushrooms that will help me participate in this wonderful ¨FungiFridayContest¨: ¨This has been another one of those great weeks for mushroom hunting as we found a really beautiful one

My grandmother and I were very surprised when we saw this mushroom, and of course, we had to take many photographs of it.
