Fungi Friday || Three Types of Mushrooms, Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatur), Turkey Tail Mushroom and Mycena mushroom

in FungiFridaylast year

Hello mushroom hunter friends, how are you all today and hopefully we are all still in good health and can participate in activities smoothly.

For Mushrooms this Friday and this is my contribution #FungiFriday hosted by @ewkaw

On Friday, July 28, 2023, I want to display again the photographic mushroom images that I have prepared. I found pictures of these mushroom photography in several places with different types of mushrooms and each mushroom I found has its own beauty and uniqueness. There are mushrooms that grow on wood and there are also mushrooms that grow on the ground.

As we know, the fungus is one of the plants that grows in damp places, either in weathered wood or in soil where the moisture content is in accordance with the needs of the fungus. In the area where I live, of course, in Aceh, Indonesia, there are actually many types of mushrooms that grow, especially when we go to large forests, of course there are lots of mushrooms growing with species that I have never seen in rural areas. . so for today I only show pictures of mushrooms in the area where I live and from these mushrooms we can also see how beautiful they are.

Mushroom plants are plants that some of them we can consume and also some of them we cannot consume because they contain poison. Mushrooms that contain toxins are certainly quite dangerous for us to consume. Meanwhile, mushrooms that do not contain poisons or that we can consume, of course, these mushrooms have a very high market demand because these mushrooms can be processed into cooking ingredients that taste quite good. In many restaurants, we see menus of dishes made from mushrooms that taste quite good and they can sell at quite expensive prices. Consumable mushrooms also have a lot of protein in them so they are quite good for human health. In other places there are even mushrooms that are processed into medical materials or medicinal ingredients. All right, friends, let's see the mushrooms that I have prepared.

The first thing I want to show is the oyster mushroom or in Latin it is called Pleurotus ostreatur. This mushroom grows on weathered tree trunks and at that time I found this mushroom on a tree near a river. I saw this group of mushrooms growing very well there so I really liked to see it and took the opportunity to be able to take pictures of these oyster mushrooms. They also have a little stem and then at the top also like an umbrella which has the beauty of the fibers which are quite interesting looking.

Then display the second mushroom image, namely the turkey tail mushroom. This mushroom does not have a stem like the usual mushrooms but this fungus only attaches very firmly to weathered tree trunks. At the top of this mushroom also has letters that are quite beautiful for us to see and the color of this mushroom is also quite good. I really like this mushroom because this mushroom is a bit hard and can survive for a long time. I found this fungus in rotting wood and there I think there is moisture in the wood.

Then display the third picture of the mushroom, Mycena. This is one of the soil growing mushroom species that I often find in the area where I live. Usually this mushroom also often grows in places where there is animal dung, be it cows or buffalo. Mushrooms like this also have beauty because they have a veil like an umbrella being opened.

All right, that's all. Those are some display pictures of mushrooms that I can show you for today and hopefully all friends will like the pictures of mushrooms for this Friday. Thank you to all my friends who have given me encouragement and opportunity and see you later in my next post.

Note, the words I wrote in this article are in Indonesian and I first wrote them in the notes section of my smartphone application. Then to translate them into English I used Google's help.
