Welcome back to the Fungi Friday community, on this Friday I will post one type of mushroom that I found near the forest not too far from my house so yesterday I was looking for a mushroom object in the garden closest to my house and under the thick trees I found one one type of mushroom that I have never actually posted in the Fungi Friday community.

The type of mushroom I found was Gyromitra esculenta, it was very difficult to find the name of this mushroom, after I searched with google lenses I found a slight resemblance to the photo with the mushroom I found, so I concluded that this is the type of mushroom which in scientific language is called Gyromitra esculenta, I looked closely at this mushroom growing on a piece of rotten wood and when I found this mushroom it looked like it had started to dry out, so the shape of this mushroom looks wrinkled. it was wrinkled at first but not immediately when I found this shape because indeed it was already dry and look at this without it it was bigger when it was before it dried like this.

With a slightly yellow to white color and and it grows well on a rotting log, especially I found this mushroom under a shady tree so it is well protected from the sun, also on the occasion when I photographed this mushroom the sun was shining well so that's what I produce better quality than my previous photos.

Although this mushroom is poisonous, but if it is processed properly it can be consumed and is a favorite food in some countries. This mushroom looks like a wrinkled brain in such a way that it is quite different from other types of mushrooms, so even so, this mushroom should not be consumed carelessly because if you lack knowledge about the processing of these mushrooms can cause poisoning.

In the healthy area, I lived a few days ago, it rained very hard, so I only had the opportunity yesterday or I had time to look for photos of mushroom objects in the forest near my garden. a wrinkled mushroom like this, so when I found it or saw it for the first time, I immediately took out my cellphone, there was an item to take some time to take pictures of a mushroom object called a Gyromitra esculenta or brain fungus.
