My post this week is a collection of mushrooms that grow on rotting logs near a chili garden that I take care of. I saw it as I was walking on the path leading to it. Several other groups of mushrooms in the vicinity looked wilted or dead, and some of them were still alive.
Physically this mushroom is not large, I think it's less than two centimeters. The stems are white and slightly soft. On the petals with a vertical line pattern which is also white there is a brownish circle in the middle.
From the existing literature, this type of fungus is named Coprinellus disseminatus, a family of Psathyrellaceae. This mushroom is commonly known as fairy inkcap Source.
