Seven hours in the forest // my success in finding some interesting types of mushrooms with great difficulty

in FungiFriday20 hours ago

Good morning to all my beloved hive friends and to all my respected mushroom lover friends ♥️

Yesterday was the most tiring day for me in mushroom hunting activities because I had to go into the forest for seven hours and almost gave up because I didn't find a single mushroom that had beauty and uniqueness, but I managed to find several types of mushrooms at the last second. And this mushroom hunt took us deep into the forest until we found a strange pile of stones that I thought were grave stones.Read this post until the end and enjoy.

Yesterday morning, precisely at nine in the morning, my friend and I returned to our weekly routine of hunting for mushrooms in the forest. On that bright morning, my friend and I immediately stepped into the forest. However, before actually entering the forest, we first decided to stop by a palm oil plantation in the hope of finding some unique types of mushrooms in it.

Upon arriving at the oil palm plantation, I felt very happy because previously I had managed to find many types of mushrooms in this oil palm plantation, my friend and I immediately scattered and looked for mushrooms on all sides of the plantation, maybe for about 30 minutes around this plantation I did not find a single type of unique mushroom except for some soil mushrooms that grow in clumps and that is very unattractive.

I couldn’t believe what I was experiencing, how could I not find a single interesting mushroom in this oil palm plantation. However, it had not rained in my area for 5 days, maybe that was the main reason why I had difficulty finding mushrooms. I even dug up some piles of leaves to look for mushrooms, but still I didn’t find a single mushroom.

Not only me, my friend also did not find any interesting types of mushrooms, because we did not find any types of mushrooms in this oil palm plantation, so we decided to immediately leave this garden and walk straight into the forest.

The weather at that time was very hot, the sun looked very hot shining on the earth, but because my position was right in the forest, very little light entered because it was covered by dense trees, so the surrounding conditions looked rather dark.

I kept walking and continued to explore every corner and continued to look for mushrooms until I arrived at a small river that blocked my path, but when I was looking for a way to cross the river I managed to find a dead tree with two different types of mushrooms growing on it.

The incoming light was very little so I was really short of light when I wanted to photograph the mushroom, and I had tried to move the mushroom to a brighter place but I couldn't because the mushroom was really stuck to the tree trunk, so I was forced to do a photo shoot even though I was a little short of light.

This mushroom grows on a tree trunk, so if I force myself to move this mushroom of course I will damage it. But because I don't want to damage it, I didn't move it and took a picture of it even though I didn't have enough light. However, even so, the beauty and uniqueness of the mushroom can still be seen clearly through the lens of my cellphone camera.

And this is also a mushroom that grows on the same tree, I don't know if this is luck for me because I managed to find a tree trunk with two different mushrooms growing on it, although it's not very interesting. However, with my success in finding these two mushrooms, my enthusiasm has grown even greater to continue this hunt.

After photographing the two mushrooms, I went back to looking for a way to cross the small river in front of me. However, after looking around, there was not a single road or bridge to cross the river. Finally, I was forced to enter the river by walking across it.

Luckily, the river was not too deep so I could still walk safely. But when I was actually in the river and wanted to cross it, I suddenly found a mushroom that looked very interesting growing on the river bank.

However, because the area around the place was very dark, I decided to move the mushroom to a brighter place, so that when I took the picture, I would have enough light and allow me to take a picture of the mushroom with satisfactory results.

This mushroom has a beauty in terms of shape to its very striking color, its shape which has a flat umbrella-like bud and a stem that is not too high makes this mushroom look very attractive in my eyes, so I did not lose out willing to move this mushroom to a brighter place because with the results I got made me feel very satisfied.

Maybe after exploring this forest for about 4 hours this is one of the interesting types of mushrooms that I have managed to find, a very hot day made me feel very tired even though I had found one of these very interesting types of mushrooms.

I decided to take a break under a shady tree, but the problem was that we didn't bring many supplies, so we had to really make the most of the supplies we had.

The time was already 01.30 which meant we had been hunting for approximately 3 and a half hours, but considering the results I got were not yet satisfactory, I decided to continue hunting. After taking a short break, we immediately continued hunting by crossing the initial river again.

When we managed to cross the river, we saw that the forest was still very dense, so to get through the grass and wild plants we had to be very careful not to hurt ourselves.

And just walking a few steps in this forest I immediately managed to find a very interesting mushroom growing on the ground.

And as usual, the forest is very dark so I also had to move this mushroom to a brighter place so I could photograph it properly.

What's interesting about this mushroom is that it has small buds but has a long stem so that this mushroom really attracts attention. And I also managed to capture the beauty of this mushroom very well even though I had to repeatedly move each mushroom to a brighter place Lol

After photographing this interesting mushroom, I immediately continued my hunt in the forest and time went on and we continued to look for every interesting mushroom growing in this forest.

Even though it was very tiring, I managed to find another mushroom that was no less interesting than the previous mushrooms.

At first glance, these mushrooms look dry, but when held, the texture is still very soft like young mushrooms. However, is it just the appearance that looks dry or are these mushrooms really dry?

Yes, I did manage to find this mushroom on a small tree branch, and the size of this mushroom was also very small so I really had to make the best use of my cellphone camera to be able to photograph this mushroom with beautiful and of course detailed results.

And when I looked at the clock on my phone, I was surprised because it was already 04.00 pm, so it can be estimated that mushroom hunting in this forest has taken about 7 hours. However, my friend and I still wanted to continue this hunt because we really enjoyed it.

And when we were walking around the forest, suddenly I saw a very strange pile of stones and it made me very goosebumps. Because why? Because the stones looked neatly arranged like stones in a grave.

Realizing that our position was indeed in the middle of the forest and the discovery of the strange rocks made us immediately shiver and rather than continuing this hunt we decided to go home immediately, and that was the reason why I ended this mushroom hunt.
