Fungifriday - Poisonous Mushrooms

in FungiFriday3 years ago

Rain doesn't always make mushroom life look better. In some situations, mushrooms will sometimes wilt and crumble due to excessive moisture.

Mushrooms do live in places that have moisture or humidity, but rain will kill them. Like some toadstools growing on the rotten trunk of this banana tree.

I took this photo in two times, we can see the shape of the mushroom that is still good before it rains and after it rains and decays.

It looks like this mushroom is a type of Phyoleta, a toadstool with white spots on it. This mushroom belongs to the type of poisonous mushroom. Source

These are some photos of mushrooms as My contribution to #fungifrday by @ewkaw.

I had no idea rain actually kills mushrooms. Too much of a good thing I figure.

Beautiful but deadly appears to be the running theme with mushrooms. I have a lot to learn in area and these type of postings certain help. Thanks

Heavy rain will kill some types of mushrooms, because heavy rain drops will damage the texture of the mushrooms. Even though it's true that rain is good for mushrooms that are just growing.
