After a long wait, we are happy to announce that tomorrow we will start the release of the big product update.
The update will take place in two distinct phases, necessary to properly test the entire system before proceeding with the release of New Waxchester:
In the first phase your assets (animals and gardens) will stop producing SEST or CBIT directly, and at the time of harvest you will instead receive the corresponding product inside your barn (ex. Hen> eggs); you can check your harvest inside the barn (or directly from the blockchain). At this point you will be able to sell the products from the barn. During this phase we will only enable the option to sell the entire contents of the barn. This intermediate step is necessary to verify the proper functioning of the storage system.
In the second phase, which we will release immediately after confirming the operation of the new system, you can instead choose what to sell and what to store inside the barn. The products stored inside the barn can then be transported to New Waxchester to be transformed into more valuable products, or used for weekly tasks.
Tomorrow morning (around 08: 00 UTC) Farming Tales will stop its services to start the update, and we expect a downtime of approximately 12 hours. We will however reactivate Farming Tales as soon as possible.
I would like to add some other new ones to keep you updated on the progress:
- With the release of New Waxchester we will be introducing another small fix to our economy model within Farming Tales, which we will discuss with the community before implementing. To make the creation of new assets more interesting, while rewarding those who started this adventure with us, we would like to create a "halving" system: this system will lead to an increase of a small percentage of the craft price of new assets every month. In this way, users who have crafted new animals and gardens to date should see the value of their assets rise over time and the higher production of SEST due to the creation of new assets will be partially absorbed by the higher cost of creating future assets.
- As already mentioned, we are actively working to move some Farming Tales services to other blockchains; at the moment we are in contact with two different platforms to land on Solana. The idea is to allow the use of the mini-games that will be present in New Waxchester also through the Solana blockchain, creating a competitive environment. The minigames will be basically free-to-play, but the use of some specific NFTs will guarantee graphic (ex. Skins) or functional (ex. Improved tractor engine) updates.
- On July 18th we will announce an important (really important) partnership, with a project that could completely change the world of blockchain gaming.
- Finally, I remind you that the campaign for Frank and Concetta's plushies is still active, in collaboration with our friends from Makeship; for each plush purchased, you will also receive two unique NFTs: one with a skin for Frank or Concetta, and one with a legendary asset that, as always, will have particular importance with the release of New Waxchester. This asset will not be sold on the market in any other way. You can find our plushies here and here
