Farming Tales News and OneUp Cartel Investment Update
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain.
I have a natural preference for games built and developed on the blockchain of Hive because Hive is the blockchain project I care more and in which I am more active but when I discovered Farming Tales I decided to make an exception because I immediately saw the potential in this game, potential that depends mainly on two peculiarities that Farming Tales has and that many other blockchain based farming games don't have:
- Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
- Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).
Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:
- post game-related updates (account: @farmingtales).

- run a weekly contest to incentivize its players to sign up and post content on Hive.
In addition, Farming Tales has among its future goals to integrate on the Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).
After this brief introduction to the Farming Tales game, let's take a look at the latest news and updates regarding Farming Tales.
Farming Tales News
The Farming Tales development team is working on the development and release of New Wanchester, a major update that will dramatically change the game dynamics because it will introduce a new production system.
Today, the NFTs in the game produce SEST tokens with the exception of the legendary NFT GreenHouse which produces Seed-type NFTs.
When New Wanchester is introduced, NFTs will produce food and vegetables that can be sold for SEST tokens or can be used to obtain production of other game items and will also be useful when quests will be introduced.
The sale of the Windmill
Although New Wanchester has not yet been introduced the first building that will be part of this update has been sold: the WindMill.
The Windmill is a unique NFT and the sale mechanism was the auction sale.
The auction sale began on March 27, 2022 and ended on April 3, 2022.
The player who succeeded in winning the WindMill was joesdayjob who purchased this NFT for a final price of 3500400 SEST.
Based on the current value of the SEST tokens the WindMill was sold for a final price of 5803.23$ = 18902.16 WAX
An important sale value but above all a value definitely out of my budget and out of the budget of OneUp Cartel's investment and so I sat in the armchair and I was a simple spectator :)
The sale of the NFT Sugar Refinery
Just today at 16:55 the sale of New Wanchester's second building - the Sugar Refinery - was completed.
Like the WindMill, the Sugar Refinery was auctioned off and the final purchase price was 3455000 SEST tokens, while the player who won the auction was skyw.
The Sugar Refinery will allow the production of beet sugar and brown sugar.
Based on the current value of SEST tokens the NFT Sugar Refinery has been sold at a value of $5727.96 = 18657 WAX.
The sale of the first Farming Tales Pet
The latest news announced on the Farming Tales discord server was the sale of the first Farming Tales Pet: the Dog.
The sale will take place on https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales/ and there will be 200 Dogs available for purchase and the sale price will be 30000 SEST.
Based on current SEST token values, 30000 SEST tokens correspond to a value of $49.74 = 162 WAX.
Differently from the sale of legendary cards like GreenHouse that have a fixed and limited number of NFTs, the number of NFTs of type Dogs will be unlimited because in the future the breeding feature will be introduced but the sale of Dogs by Farming Tales will be unique.
Those who want to buy a NFT Dog will have to be ready for the date April 17, 2022.

My playing/investing activity on Farming Tales is twofold because I play two roles:

I have been managing OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales since January 29, 2022 and today, April 7, 2022, 68 days have passed.
The last time I evaluated the performance of OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales was March 24, 2022 and the results I recorded were as follows:
- Profit: $3.19
- ROI: 0.57%.
The time has come to update and re-evaluate OneUp Cartel's investment by comparing the costs incurred and the revenue earned to date.
Total Investment Cost
OneUp Cartel invested in the Farming Tales project in two successive phases:
- 500 HBD (Jan. 29, 2022)
- 250 WAX (March 2, 2022).
Today, April 7, 2022:
- 1 HBD token has a value of $0.972.
- 1 WAX token has a value of 0.307014$.
Based on the values I listed above the total cost of investment on Farming Tales by OneUp Cartel has a current value of 562.75$ (previous report: 563.16$).
I had available to invest a total of 1833 WAX tokens whose current value is 562.76$.
VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS
CPU
All operations that can be performed on the WAX blockchain have a cost in terms of resources (NET, CPU, RAM).
In the Farming Tales game, Harvest operations consume the CPU resource (which recharges over time), so I allocated a total of 51.54 WAX tokens to this resource.
The value of the NFT collection
To play Farming Tales, you must purchase one of the following combinations of NFTs and then you must make an initial investment:

So far I have made all purchases by choosing the NFTs that had the highest estimated annual ROI value, I have made this calculation for every combination of NFTs on the market and before making each purchase.

Over the past 15 days, I have not made any additional purchases but have sold some NFT Seed Boxes to have a quantity of WAX tokens to purchase additional NFTs.
Today April 7, 2022, there are 21 total NFTs owned by OneUpCartel:

In the following table you can see the list of the NFTs that I have purchased until today with the indication of the purchase price, of the tokens that I used as payment method, of the current market prices on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks and with the indication of the differences between purchase price and current market value for each NFT purchased.
The total market value of OneUp Cartel's collection of NFTs is 1210.80 WAX = $371.73 (previous report:1584.70 WAX = $470.10)
In 15 days the difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) has remained negative and the loss in value has increased since the previous report and is 25.30%:
- March 9: -10.25$
- March 23: -10.76$
- April 7: -125.92$
Total value of tokens and rewards
At the base of the Farming Tales game are two different tokens:
- SEST tokens
- CBIT tokens
The SEST tokens are the Farming Tales game's native tokens that Farming Tales players receive from each Harvest operation.
CBIT tokens are utility tokens needed to perform food and water refill operations (Silo and Water Tower).
CBIT tokens can be purchased but can also be earned for free by stacking SEST tokens.
In the table below you can see the total amount and value of SEST tokens and CBIT tokens owned by OneUp Cartel as of today.
The total value of the SEST and CBIT tokens is 224.61 WAX = $68.96.
However, this value does not correspond to the total value of in-game rewards received from harvesting and stacking SEST tokens because on January 30, 2022 I purchased 14970 SEST tokens and spent 195 WAX.
If I subtract from the total amount of stacked SEST tokens the amount of 14970 SEST tokens I get the total value of game rewards received and not reinvested which is 143.77 WAX = $44.14.
Profit and ROI
As in my previous reports I have collected all the necessary data to be able to compare costs and revenues and I can then calculate the Profit and ROI related to the investment of OneUp Cartel in a time frame of 68 days.
I created a prospectus to have an immediate image of the investment and you can see it in the following image.
15 days ago (March 24, 2022) the financial results were positive while today they are back to negative:
- Profit: -296.05 WAX = -$90.89
- ROI: -16.15%.
The results present in my prospectus take into account only the investment made considering the total amount of WAX tokens invested and its current value in dollars and do not take into consideration
- the dollar value of the initial investment (HBD+WAX)
- the variation of the dollar value of WAX tokens and of the 500 HBD tokens initially invested.
If I take into consideration the current dollar value of the 500 HBD tokens of the initial investment and the current value of the WAX tokens I get the final financial results of OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales which are as follows:
- Profit: -75.54S
- ROI: -13.42%.
Final Considerations
After 68 days the Profit and Roi of OneUp cartel's investment on Farming Tales are back to negative values.
Those who have read my previous posts could see that fluctuations in NFT values are very frequent.
For example the NFT Arlequin Goat that three days ago was sold at 72 WAX today is on the market at a price of 55 WAX.
To maximize the value of the OneUp Cartel collection and to try to decrease the total cost of purchasing the card collection I decided to put some NFTs up for sale to take advantage of market fluctuations.
By the way I discovered that unlike other Farming games the NFTs in Farming Tales can be put up for sale and used at the same time and until a buyer decides to buy them.
The only NFT that has kept its value high has been the legendary GreenHouse NFT which has a market value 18.64% higher than its purchase cost.
The GreenHouse alone produces one NFT Seed Box each day which has a current market value of 2.6 WAX = $0.79
The financial results that I have recorded in this report even if negative do not worry me because I consider them temporary.
By the way the investment on Farming Tales has only 68 days of duration and the Farming Tales game has little more than 5 months of life.
In fact, the first Arlequin Goat card was sold on October 15, 2021.
Another element that I want to underline is that in my report to calculate the value of the NFT collection I consider the lowest market prices but it is sufficient to look at the market to make some considerations.
For example it is true that the Arlequin Goat card has a low market value compared to the past: 55 WAX.
But how many Arlequin Goat cards are for sale at this value?
As you can see in the following image in this moment on the market there are:
- only three cards on sale at a price below 60 WAX
- 1 card for sale at 64.99 WAX
- 2 cards on sale at a value between 74 WAX and 84 WAX
- all other cards have a sale price higher than 123 WAX.
Out of a total of 1668 NFT Harlequin Goat cards in circulation there are only 47 cards for sale.
This means that the majority of Arlequin Goat NFT owners prefer to use NFTs instead of selling them and this is something I consider extremely positive and generally try to monitor to understand the health of a blockchain-based game.
Despite the few months of activity the Farming Tales development team is doing a really good job and if I consider how the Farming Tales game was 68 days ago, the graphical aspects and the usability of the game features (harvest, stacking, ...) are being improved all the time.
In the coming days I will continue to accumulate game rewards and wait for more information regarding the new NFT Dog before considering a possible purchase.
Both in the OneUp Cartel wallet and in my personal wallet there are enough SEST tokens to make the purchase of an NFT Dog but the sale of the NFT Dogs could also be an opportunity to sell the SEST tokens if their value increases a lot during the sale and then buy them back later at a lower price.
This is to show how Farming Tales allows you to choose and implement different investment strategies and that is also why it is a game I enjoy.

Le Novità su Farming Tales e L'Investimento di OneUp Cartel
Farming Tales è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain WAX.
Ho una naturale preferenza per i giochi costruiti e svippati sulla blockchain di Hive perchè Hive è il progetto blockchain preferito e a cui tengo di più ed è anche il progetto nel quale sono più attivo ma quando ho scoperto Farming Tales ho deciso di fare un'eccezione alla regola perchè ho subito visto delle potenzialità in questo gioco, potenzialità che dipendono principalmente da due particolarità che ha Farming Tales e che molti altri giochi di farming basati su blockchain non hanno:
- Farming Tales ha una bella grafica e utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- Farming Tales ha alcuni NFT che sono collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie (zafferano, miele,...).
Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:

Farming Tales News
Il team di sviluppo di Farming Tales è al lavoro sullo sviluppo e rilascio della New Wanchester, un grande aggiornamento che cambierà redicalmente le dinamiche di gioco perchè introdurrà un nuovo sistema di produzione.
Oggi gli NFT del gioco producono i token SEST ad eccezione dell'NFT leggendario GreenHouse che produce NFT di tipo seme.
Quando sarà introdotta la New Wanchester gli NFT produrranno cibo e vegetali che potranno essere venduti in cambio di token SEST oppure potranno essere utilizzati per ottenere la produzione di altri elementi di gioco e saranno anche utili quando saranno introdotte le quests.
La vendita del Windmill
Anche se la New Wanchester non è stata ancora introdotta è stato venduto il primo edificio che farà parte di questo aggiornamento: il WindMill.
Il Windmill è un NFT in unica copia e il meccanismo di vendita è stato quello della vendita all'asta.
La vendita all'asta è iniziata il 27 marzo 2022 ed è terminata il 3 aprile 2022.
Il giocatore che è riuscito ad aggiudicarsi il WindMill è stato joesdayjob che ha acquistato questo NFT per un prezzo finale di 3500400 SEST.
In base al valore attuale dei token SEST il WindMill è stato venduto ad un prezzo finale di 5803.23$ = 18902.16 WAX
Un valore di vendita importante ma soprattutto un valore decisamente fuori sia dal mio budget che dal budget dell'investimento di OneUp Cartel e quindi io mi sono accomodato in poltrona e ho fatto il semplice spettatore :)
La vendita dell'NFT Sugar Refinery
Proprio oggi alle ore 16:55 si è conclusa la vendita del secondo edificio della New Wanchester: la Sugar Refinery.
Come il WindMill anche per la Sugar Refinery è stato scelto il meccanismo della vendita all'asta e il prezzo finale di acquisto è stato di 3455000 token SEST mentre il giocatore che è riuscito a vincere la vendita all'asta è stato skyw.
La Sugar Refinery permetterà di produrre beet sugar e brown sugar.
In base al valore attuale dei token SEST l'NFT Sugar Refinery è stato venduto ad un valore di 5727.96$ = 18657 WAX.
The sale of the first Farming Tales Pet
L'ultima novità annunciata sul server discord di Farming Tales è stata la vendita del primo Pet di Farming Tales: il Dog.
La vendita avverrà su https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales/ e ci saranno 200 Dogs disponibili all'acquisto e il prezzo di vendita sarà di 30000 SEST.
In base ai valori attuali dei token SEST, 30000 token SEST corrispondono ad un valore di 49.74$ = 162 WAX.
A differenza della vendita delle carte leggendarie come il GreenHouse che hanno un numero di NFT fissato e limitato, il numero degli NFT di tipo Dogs sarà illimitato perchè in futuro sarà introdotta la funzionalità di breeding ma la vendita dei Dogs da parte di Farming Tales sarà unica.
Chi vuole comprare un NFT Dog dovrà tenersi pronto per la data 17 aprile 2022.

La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo due ruoli:
- sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
- sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità che si chiama OneUp.

Gestisco l'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales dal 29 gennaio 2022 e oggi 7 aprile 2022 sono passati 68 giorni.
L'ultima volta che ho valutato l'andamento dell'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales era il 24 marzo 2022 e i risultati che avevo registrato erano i seguenti:
- Profit: 3.19$
- ROI: 0.57%
E' arrivato il momento di aggiornare e rivalutare l'investimento di OneUp Cartel confrontando i costi sostenuti e i ricavi ottenuti fino ad oggi.
Costo Totale Investimento
OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto di Farming Tales in due fasi successive:
- 500 HBD (29 gennaio 2022)
- 250 WAX (2 marzo 2022)
Oggi 7 aprile 2022:
- 1 token HBD ha un valore di 0.972$
- 1 token WAX ha un valore di 0.307014$
In base ai valori che ho elencato sopra il costo totale dell'investimento su Farming Tales da parte di OneUp Cartel ha un valore attuale di 562.75$ (report precedente: 563.16$).
Ho avuto a disposizione da investire un totale di 1833 token WAX il cui valore attuale è di 562.76$.

Tutte le operazioni effettuabili sulla blockchain WAX hanno un costo in termini di risorse (NET, CPU, RAM).
Nel gioco di Farming Tales le operazioni di Harvest consumano la risorsa CPU (che si ricarica con il tempo) e per questo motivo ho destinato un totale di 51.54 token WAX a questa risorsa.

Il valore totale di mercato della collezione di NFT di OneUp Cartel è di 1210.80 WAX = 371.73$ (report precedente:1584.70 WAX = 470.10$)
In 15 gionri la differenza di valore (prezzo totale di acquisto - valore di mercato totale attuale) è rimasta negativa e la perdita di valore è aumentata rispetto al report precedente ed è del 25.30%:
- 9 marzo: -10.25$
- 23 marzo: -10.76$
- 7 aprile: -125.92$
Valore totale dei token e delle ricompense
Alla base del gioco di Farming Tales ci sono due token che hanno utilizzi diversi:
- i token SEST
- i token CBIT
I token SEST sono i token nativi del gioco di Farming Tales che i giocatori di Farming Tales ricevono da ogni operazione di Harvest.
I token CBIT sono degli utility tokens necessari per effettuare le operazioni di ricarica di cibo e acqua (Silo e Water Tower).
I token CBIT possono essere acquistati ma possono essere anche guadagnati in modo gratuito mediante l'operaione di stacking dei token SEST.
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il quantitativo totale e il valore totale dei token SEST e dei token CBIT di proprietà di OneUp Cartel aggiornato alla data odierna.
Il valore totale dei token SEST e CBIT è di 224.61 WAX = 68.96$.
Questo valore però non corrisponde al valore totale delle ricompense di gioco ricevute dalle operazioni di harvest e dall'attività di stacking dei token SEST perchè il 30 gennaio 2022 ho acquistato 14970 token SEST e ho speso 195 WAX.
Se sottraggo dal totale dei token SEST in stacking il quantitativo di 14970 token SEST ottengo il valore totale delle ricompense di gioco ricevute e non reinvestite che è di 143.77 WAX = 44.14$
Profit e ROI
Come nei miei precedenti report ho raccolto tutti i dati necessari per poter confrontare costi e ricavi e posso quindi calcolare il Profitto e il ROI relativo all'investimento di OneUp Cartel in un arco temporale di 68 giorni.
Ho creato un prospetto per avere un immagine immediata dell'investiemento e che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.
15 giorni fa (24 marzo 2022) i risultati finanziari erano positivi mentre oggi sono tornati negativi:
- Profit: -296.05 WAX = -90.89$
- ROI: -16.15%
I risultati presenti nel mio prospetto tengono conto solo dell'investimento effettuato considerando il totale dei token WAX investiti e il suo valore attuale in dollari e non tengono conto:
- del valore in dollari dell'investimento iniziale (HBD+WAX)
- della variazione del valore in dollari dei token WAX e dei 500 token HBD investiti inizialmente.
Se prendo in considerazione il valore attuale in dollari dei 500 token HBD dell'investimento iniziale e il valore attuale dei token WAX ottengo i risultati finanziari finali dell'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales che sono i seguenti:
- Profit: -75.54S
- ROI: -13.42%
Considerazioni Finali
Dopo 68 giorni il Profitto e il Roi dell'investimento di OneUp cartel su Farming Tales ritornano ad essere valori negativi.
Chi ha letto i miei precedenti post ha potuto vedere che le oscillazioni dei valori degli NFT sono molto frequenti.
Ad esempio l'NFT Arlequin Goat che tre giorni fa è stato venduto a 72 WAX oggi è sul mercato ad un prezzo di 55 WAX.
Per ottimizzare il valore della collezione di OneUp Cartel e per cercare di far diminuire il costo totale di acquisto della collezione di carte ho deciso di mettere in vendita alcuni NFT per sfruttare le oscillazioni di mercato.
Tra l'altro ho scoperto che a differenza di altri giochi di Farming gli NFT di Farming Tales possono essere messi in vendita e utilizzati allo stesso tempo e fino a che un compratore decide di acquistarli.
L'unico NFT che ha mantenuto alto il suo valore è stato l'NFT leggendario GreenHouse che ha un valore di mercato superiore del 18.64% rispetto al suo costo di acquisto.
Solo il GreenHouse da solo produce ogni giorno un NFT Seed Box che ha un valore di mercato attuale di 2.6 WAX = 0.79$
I risultati finanziari che ho registrato in questo mio report anche se negativi non mi preoccupano perchè li considero temporanei.
Tra l'altro l'investimento su Farming Tales ha solo 68 giorni di durata e il gioco di Farming Tales ha poco più di 5 mesi di vita.
Infatti la prima carta Arlequin Goat è stata venduta il 15 ottobre 2021.
Altro elemento che voglio sottolineare è che nel mio report per calcolare il valore della collezione di NFT considero i prezzi di mercato più bassi ma è sufficiente guardare il mercato per capire i motivi delle oscillazioni di valore di alcune carte.
Ad esempio è vero che la carta Arlequin Goat ha un valore di mercato basso rispetto al passato: 55 WAX.
Ma quante carte Arlequin Goat sono in vendita a questo valore?
Come puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente in questo momento sul mercato ci sono:
- solo tre carte in vendita ad un prezzo inferiore a 60 WAX
- 1 carta in vendita a 64.99 WAX
- 2 carte in vendita ad un valore compreso tra 74 WAX e 84 WAX
- tutte le altre carte hanno un prezzo di vendita superiore a 123 WAX.
Su un totale di 1668 NFT Harlequin Goat in circolazione ci sono solo 47 carte in vendita.
Questo vuol dire che la maggior parte dei proprietari degli NFT Arlequin Goat preferisce utilizzare gli NFT invece che venderli e questo è un dato che considero estremamente positivo e che in generale cerco di monitorare per capire lo stato di salute di un gioco basato su blockchain.
Nonostante i pochi mesi di attività il team di sviluppo di Farming Tales sta facendo davvero un ottimo lavoro e se considero come era il gioco di Farming Tales 68 giorni fa, gli aspetti grafici e l'usabilità delle funzionalità del gioco (harvest, stacking, ...) sono stati migliorati in continuazione.
Nei prossimi giorni continuerò ad accumulare le ricompense di gioco e aspetterò di avere più informazioni relative ai nuovi NFT Dog prima di valutare un possibile acquisto.
Sia nel wallet di OneUp Cartel che nel mio wallet personale ci sono token SEST sufficienti per effettuare l'acquisto di un NFT Dog ma la vendita degli NFT Dogs potrebbe essere anche l'occasione per vendere i token SEST se il loro valore dovesse aumentare molto in occasione della vendita per poi ricomprarli successivamente ad un prezzo inferiore.
Questo per mostrare come Farming Tales permette di scegliere e attuare diverse strategie di investimento ed è anche per questo che è un gioco che mi piace.

What's the min investment at the moment?
The minimum investment to make at this time is to buy 1 stable + 1 arlequin Goat = 69 WAX
Theoretically there is also a lower investment possible by buying a common animal but it does not produce profit without buying a Silo at least of rare type and that is why I recommend starting with the epic animal that costs less ;)

Forse avrei dovuto seguirti su Farming Tales, è una categoria di giochi che mi è sempre piaciuta… ma ero già partito con TownStar e mi soddisfa. Il problema è che Gala di TownStar gira su Ethereum e ti lascio immaginare che tasse girino ora per le transazioni. Il problema è che peró da TownStar non riesco a staccarmi… mi acchiappa. Bello comunque anche questo Farming Tales
Anche io avrei dovuto seguirti su TownStar tra l'altro se è un gioco che ti ha preso vuol dire che il potenziale c'è ma Eth al momento per le commissioni non riesco proprio a considerarlo...chissà con l'avvento della versione 2.0...

Confermo, ETH è assolutamente da non considerare per il gaming, e mi sa anche per altro. Per acquistare NFT su TownStar che ti mettono in grado di applicare la formula play to earn (quindi uscire dalla Demo e guadagnare TownCoin) si possono trasferire GALA nel GALA wallet usando la Binance Smart Chain, cosa che ho fatto una volta con l’esclusivo utilizzo di una guida. Per me non è stato facile. Comunque il gioco TownStar permette ad oggi di guadagnare TownCoin giornalmente
Quindi si possono anche trasferire i token di gioco ad un wallet BSC tipo metamask...ecco in questo caso il discorso cambia perchè le transazioni su BSC ci sono ma sono molto più basse

Confermo liberty che è proprio così. te che sei molto bravo non troveresti tutte le difficoltà che ho trovato io ad usare GALA, se ritrovo la guida che parla proprio di questo ti lascerò un link in qualche commento. Attualmente uno degli obiettivi di gala è fare la propria block chain, fino ad ora chiamata Gaka chain. Ma ammetto che notizie certe di quando uscirà questa chain non ce ne sono, o almeno io non ne ho trovate
