Wedding Cake and 3G grow update - a little Xmas mishap

Hi all,

A little late with my post due to Christmas and New years but fear not I'm still here...just

I had a mishap over Xmas, I was away a day longer than expected which was already a day longer than I wanted and then I picked up a cold, I suffered but my plants suffered more!

I gave them a splash of water and a spray 2 days ago and they perked right up!

I've repotted them just now and gave them some more water and a spray, I'll give them another couple of days to settle in then give them a dose of silicate.

My first potting didn't go to plan, I didn't make the hole big enough so it's sticking out a bit, I can throw some more dirt on top but I think it'll be OK.

The Wedding Cake is at the back and the two 3Gs are at the front.

Root development is a little poorer than I hoped but looks OK, I was expecting them to be root bound but in fairness I've never inspected roots at this stage before.

You can still see the leaves suffering a bit but WAY better than a couple of days ago!

Apologies for this terrible photo(below), I'm still not 100% and was a bit shaky

I had to have a lie down between getting the soil in the pots and repotting! This cold has had me beat! (man flu 🤣)

I know I keep saying I'll switch over to the HPS but I will do in a couple of days when I give them the silicate, I expect to see much better growth! And when I finally give them a proper dose of veg nutes they should be even happier! I've only given them one dose so far and it was a weak mixture

Lesson for next time, better lights (maybe 2) and repot much earlier!

I picked up a syringe when I was at the pharmacy for cold medicine so no more guess work measuring nutes/silicate!

I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year!

They are looking good @cannaworms! You have healthy root systems developed and the minimal issues with the foliage are rather minimal and probably a result of root constriction. Cannabis likes bigger pots and there's just no way to get around that.

I think that's a good call waiting a bit on the HPS, they are changing phase from seedling to mature plant right now, keep up the great work!

Thanks! 👊👍
The bigger pot = bigger plant has been plaguing me, I wish I'd repotted weeks ago, I only started in the small pots so they'd fit in the incubator then didn't really use it! 🤣
My main reasoning for switching to HPS is heat 600w better than 200w but wasted light spectrum at this stage

it is growing really fast :D

Probably one of my slowest grows (not including my kill streak) but I feel like I'm more in control and know what I need to do next time - more light and temperature control.
I'll never get a plant as big as yours unless I grow outdoors
