RE: Crack Mack Update - Ventilation Upgrade

in Canna-Curatelast month

Just don't overdo the electric load. I see you have an extension cord with multiple outlets in one spot. I'm not sure what you have running there or the amps being in demand. Does that initial outlet have it's own individual breaker switch?

Also I recommend using an outlet with its design including am additional breaker, this will protect your appliances unlike the main which only protect the cable running through your walls. Consult with an electrician near you.

Great set-up though. I'm jealous. And my mouth drooled too looking at the fotos. Keep up the good work. What's the plan after harvest day?

Thank you for the kind words, and also the tip regarding the load on the electric here! I'm definitely going to have to figure out what the overall load is and if everything is wired up properly.

"Does that initial outlet have it's own individual breaker switch?"

Fortunately the entire apartment I live in is wired to a breaker box in the apartment, which connects to a main circuit fuse box in the basement.

I really have no idea how much amperage I'm pulling or the entire wattage rating at this point, but the lights alone are about 1000 watts between two tents in this grow room.

I'm going to search around for an electrician in the area who might be able to help me with calculating everything and ensuring it's safe. It's really not a bad idea at this point you're absolutely correct.

I'm planning to be canna-comatosed for two or three weeks after the harvest while I take a short grow break and prepare for the next. I have to do a major tent cleaning and overhaul of things. 1/3/25 is her due date.

This is the type of outlet i mentioned. You'll know when you see it has buttons for test and reset. This one will flip if it hits 20amps but they all vary depending on what you need.

Watts is another topic all together along with lumens, that more for what type of lighting your planta need. It's amps and voltage that is in question.

I really have no idea how much amperage.

Yeah that would be important to know. Don't want to overheat your wires lol. It's expensive as hell to replace.

I was using a 40amp fuse for my lighting in my growroom which still requires alot of work.

I have 110v and optional 220v running in there when I need it. But like I said it's not in operation because the room needs drywall work for the air system on ground level. And I have no exhaust system or filters for it all.

So meantime I am growing outdoor even as winter closes in.

Looking forward to your progress and to learn from it. Sincerely an amateur cannabis grower.
