Edibles do tend to hit hard and for a long time though, and one of the reasons for making the butter is to make use of the left over trim and stems.
Yes adding the stems will increase (probably only very slightly) the cannabinoid content in the butter. (or whatever you're using for infusing.)
36 hours in a crockpot 1-2 pounds of butter and submerge the rest in water. 1-2 ounces of trim + 1-2 ounces of bud. Generally 1 pound of butter calls for about 1 ounce of bud.
