Gorilla Glue #4 – Day 46

in Canna-Curate6 days ago (edited)

We are now a few weeks into flower, I can see the sugar leaves forming along with buds being created. Now it is time to let them flower and grow as big as possible in the next month or two. Three of them are doing well, though one seems to be stunted. I will keep the yellow one in there and hope it still forms buds, but seems it is not forming any leaves since I topped it.

Strain:Gorilla Glue #4
Dominance:60% indica/40% sativa
Nutrients used:Happy Frog Soil / Ocean Forest soil. Big Bloom, Grow big, Tiger Bloom, Open Sesame: All FoxFarm products.
Lineage:Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel
Current growing stage:Early Flower
Current plant age:46 days old
Sex:Auto regulars
Location:Central Virginia

Originally I was not going to top these, but they got too tall and started to burn. So now they are a little shorter but seem more happy. Except for that one...

With many colas forming, the three plants are looking good.

They are all in the first level of netting, which is good. That will help support the heavy buds as they form. I expect them to make it up past the second netting as well.

The one on the right is a little behind the one on the left. We can see buds forming on the left one while the right is just starting to form.

We can see one leaf a little upset on the plant on the bottom right, but since its only one leaf I am not too worried.

Loving seeing the buds form, I can already smell them and I am sure it will get even more skunky as time goes on.

Hope the stunted one pulls through, it was doing the best.. I will call this one Icarus, as it got too close to the sun and it was its demise.. lol Good to see buds forming on it though.. seems like its putting all its energy in them now.

Those are gonna blow up quick.. I've never used netting.. but it seems like that would be a real bitch getting clean after harvest

Hah yeah wondering how much taller they will get.. They only got about 6 inches in height left before I will have to dim the light if they get much closer.

I do not clean the netting.. seems to be fine

I had to raise my light this morning.. I might need to flower them soon.. maybe.. maybe I'll try netting

Last week I raised my light up to its max, so my only other option now is to dim if they start to burn.. or take them out of the tent and hang a light up somewhere.. not ideal.

Yeah the netting really helps to support the heavy buds.. highly suggested.

I was gonna tag Double D to come and drop some wisdom in regards to the one that is a little distressed but he is already here.

I have had gorilla glue before and it was great. Though I know every plant is different and the growing conditions make that even more so. Love seeing those buds start to pop and I can almost smell them. They will definitely get skunkier as they get bigger and I hope they really explode for you.

My kids are almost out of the house and I am only a couple years from growing my first plant!

Yeah that little one probably needs a good triming.. if it starts to die I will pull it out.

Hah yeah soon I will start to smell them.. though half the time it just smells like yeast in there.. lol

Oh man looking forward to your grow logs when you can.. its been so much fun for me.

I'm actually a horrible person to give advice on distressed plans. My solution for all of them is cut them down and throw them away. Try again.
Just wait till Watering Wednesday, see what happened at Double Deez house..

The Gorillas are doing super well @solominer, good process showing us their growth bro. They are super healthy.

Greetings bro and excellent Sunday!!! 😉🤝

I think so too, they are coming along quite nicely during their flower stage.

Thanks.. hope you had a good one too.

Good evening my friend, I am very happy to see the plants growing well, hopefully according to your wishes, I see the plants are very extraordinary, only one is yellowish, maybe in the future it will be the same as the others.❤️🙏

Much appreciated, hopefully they will do good going forward.

Hope so my friend❤️

It will be interesting to see how topping affects its growth and hopefully it will continue to produce quality flowers.

Usually topping them gives you more flowers.. so that is always a good thing.

That little stunted one really does have an Icarus vibe. flew too close to the light and now just vibing with buds. Hope it bounces back. I'm excited to see these explode in the next weeks

Hah yeah.. really looking forward to know big these buds will get.

super huge I hope

Nice efforts

Wow! It looks great. It's nice that budding is occurring. The leaves of the stunted one are yellowing. Should we give up hope on it?

Yep sure is... I will cut off those yellowing leaves once they completely curl up. Its lower leaves look fine, so I plan on keeping it and let it keep going.

am guessing toppings really affect the growth of the plant, Its been quite a while and am glad the little tender plant months ago is growing big and strong. however does this plant have resistance to environment? i mean can environmental conditions affect the nature of the plant?

Yeah it does, topping makes the plant reform its structure. And usually to its benefit.

My plants are pretty hardy. I give them extra c02 so they are very strong and resilient to the environment. Their grow tent stays around 85-90f.

Wow the view of your gangsa plant has grown big and the flowers have started to appear yes I really want

Yep they are really starting to change into their mature form now.
