Zsweet Inzanity - Day 92

in Canna-Curate7 months ago (edited)

These bushes have gone from a more round shape, and now forming more height. Pushing five feet tall, though I am also amazed how bushy they got, and soon they will start stretching during the flowering season. The smell from the plants is starting to pick up, and I am sure even more so once they flower. I wonder how far away I will be able to smell them from when they are at the peak of their flowering. During their stretch they may grow 1.5x bigger/taller. Which would put them at over seven feet, that is the hope, we shall see.

Pushing five feet tall and three feet on the shorter ones they are much bigger than what I am used to working with. I wonder if I will need a ladder to harvest the buds.. lol I guess that's a good problem to have.

Soon I will need to place four stakes around each plant and install netting for the buds. I am thinking I will need a 4x4' SCROG net for each of them. Or maybe one big net.. not sure yet.

Some yellowing has shown up on the bottom most leaves, I should go in there and clean them up when I have some time.

I am really happy I topped these plants twice. Otherwise they would probably be much taller and with less potential colas. Really gonna need that netting for this grow.

They have been getting water every day and I try to fertilize them twice a week. But sometimes I only get to one feeding for them. Luckily I mixed in some long release fertilizer in their soil.

All of the wild flowers growing behind the cannabis plants on the other side of the fence are so pretty. Really adds a nice effect to the plants appearance behind them. Those are seeds from last year that came back up on their own.. very cool.

Judging by the leaves, this plant looks more sativa leaning than indica. Maybe its a 80/20 hybrid.

Looking forward to buds forming next, along with that as mentioned I need to set up their netting to hold up the colas. Right now they are not so top heavy, but they will be soon.

Lots to think about, do I want to do one giant netting for all four plants. Or do four smaller nettings for each of the plants. I am not sure how much wider they will get. I would think they would stretch upwards more so probably going to go with the four smaller nettings.

Good morning dear friend @solominer
What great growth the plants had outdoors, although it was known that this would happen, but I did not imagine that they would reach three meters, and much less that the smell of the plant can be felt in the distance as the flowering progresses.
I hope the growth is so great that you have to use a ladder to collect the buds
Wild flowers attract bees, it is not known if this favors the growth of the flowers of the cannabis plant
Have a beautiful weekend

It is incredible how big your plants are @solominer, they will undoubtedly have many flowers, and you will have a good collection of buds

They sure are getting big.. I tried counting how many colas I have forming but I lost track.. lol so it should be a lot.

Oh wow it's very amazing how much they've grown. I can’t imagine needing a ladder to harvest, but it’s a good problem to have. I bet the smell will be incredible once they start flowering. Congratulations dearest friend !BEER

Hah yeah that would be a good problem to have.

Thanks man

You're most welcome good friend, it was an absolute pleasure checking your blogs every single day and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you give to my blogs. I really appreciate it

Wow, they seem to have grown really well and will grow even more. I guess they need water and fertilizer to grow taller. What is their interest in sunlight? Some plants don't like sunlight very much.

They sure are, every day now they seem like they are a little taller.

The strain I am growing likes full sun light it seems. If they get upset I can put some shade cloth over them.

So right where your plants are now is where I strip the bottom half of every branch if it's not getting sun is getting in the way.. plus then the plant can focus on developing fat colas..

They're looking fire for sure though

Oh good idea, I will probably do that. The bottom leaves are staring to turn yellow so its a good time to do so.

thanks man

They look awesome. When my Dad grew, one time his were over 10 feet tall. I also remember a time a helicopter was circling and he was yanking plants out of the ground as fast as he could go. lol

Haha wow, I bet Florida has really long growing seasons to let them get that big..

lol oh man, that must have sucked.

He lived in Missouri when he grew, I am guessing he fed them some sort of super growing food, lol. Or maybe he did not top them much. I just know they were huge.
when the chopper was flying he pulled them up for nothing because they never came and he was never busted, I figured they were looking for something else or someone and he got scared.
One time he showed up at my house in Florida and got his spare tire out of the trunk, he let the air out and busted it down, then pulled gallon bag after gallon bag out. I thought that was a good way to haul it, just don't have a flat. lol
