Before writing this, I wanted to remember the experience of downloading movies to watch. So, I downloaded a whole movie, and by the time I finished downloading, I had already watched enough snippets and read about the movie. As I’m typing now, the movie just sits in my files, occupying space unnecessarily.
I’m sure by what I’m saying, you already know what I prefer. I am a full streaming girlie. I like to just open my Netflix or Prime Video or Apple TV and just watch the movie I want. Isn’t it just nice to come home after a stressful day and then take a shower, have dinner, slide into your bed, and enjoy some movie? I mean, you might sleep off at the end, but just think about it…No stress, right?
I wish it was just like I was saying, but there are just times streaming becomes stressful, and I won't turn a blind eye to that. During these times, I just resort to downloads. And this doesn’t mean I am the one to even download the movies. I mostly ask my friends to download them, and then I go for it later. And I also don’t tell them what to download because knowing what they are getting means my curious self would find her way to read about the movies or watch all that there is to watch about the movie before I get them.
There are even days where the internet becomes a problem and hinders streaming, so I just skip to the end of the movie, enjoy it, and go about my life. After all, isn’t that the whole point? For music, it’s even worse. I don’t have even a half-downloaded song on my phone. I just don’t know why, but I believe music is well enjoyed when you stream it.
I have this belief that after downloading music, the beat and other things involved become different. You lose the originality of the song. But that’s just me, and I know it’s probably very funny because years ago, we were listening to music on CDs, and that’s more or less like downloading it.
The reality in streaming is that it’s very costly. You need a lot of data to be able to have a smooth streaming time, unlike downloads where you can even disconnect your internet after getting what you want. And the same amount of internet data you might use to stream, you could use that amount to download three movies.
This doesn’t change anything, though. I’m still a full streaming girlie. I would rather use the rest of my internet data to stream a movie or song online than to wait hours just to download one movie.

Soft indeed.
Streaming is great, especially for music, and it saves space. The only downside is the cost.
Yeah that’s the downside for most people.
