My experience with the internet began in a forced way, the state telephone company harassed us until my grandmother gave in to acquire a plan in which they sold you a desktop computer, the internet modem, the installation and you paid for everything in installments added to your monthly bill.
There began a whole adventure, because after tasting the honeys of the internet we all fought for turns to use it, but being in college I could not wait to do some work, so I bought a laptop which in turn required me to buy a router to use that laptop, but having to take it to college I had to acquire a mobile device (similar to a pendrive) to connect it to the laptop and have internet access wherever I was.

But the real choice between data and wifi, came when I started using a smartphone, I realized the magnitude of data usage when I was away from home, in fact arose in my country by the operators, data plans where they give you a certain amount of megabytes, minutes or seconds for calls and text messages, For a while I was limited to close certain applications on the street or close the session to not consume so much data, for example Facebook and also to save battery, because they did not have as much durability as the current ones and as at that time I traveled a lot for work, sometimes it was not easy to find a place in which to charge the mobile.
Now, after the appearance in the market of phones with capacity for two SIM cards, I dared to have two lines and I use what I have in my hands depending on the time and place obviously if I'm at home I use the wifi, because for about two years I have fiber optic connection with a private company and I use this service unless it is in maintenance or have no electrical service and UPS battery has been exhausted.

In the office or being on the street I use mobile data from some of my phone lines and they will depend on which one has better signal in the area where I am, because there are areas where one has better signal than the other and vice versa and between both lines I have at my disposal 10 GB in data to use.
Speaking of economy, I had to change the plans of my phone lines. One was upgraded from 2 GB to 6 GB and the other was downgraded from 10 GB to 4 GB. The reason was that in one operator it was cheaper for me to upgrade my plan and in the other one it was better to have a plan with less megabytes, since the rents are more expensive.

So my preference to connect will depend on the time and place I have never run out of mobile data to depend exclusively on wifi, but certainly when I get home I immediately contact the wifi, to leave my mobile data for when I'm on the street or in the office, also sometimes I make use of SMS and phone calls. Thus ends my participation in Digi-Prompts 036 I invite my friend @brujita18 and @popurri to participate.

It is interesting how these processes were taking place in every corner of the world. I remember my first Nokia phone. Too bad I didn't keep it. But I did keep the second one... my mother still has it.
Here in Cuba the connection is horrible and we have only one phone company. It can be so stressful.... I've never had a different reality, I wish I could compare them one day.
Sometimes to vote for a post here on Hive it takes me 5 min. Other times it doesn't open the wallet it just sits there thinking. With WhatsApp which I hardly consume it happened to me yesterday I sent a message to my sister at 8 pm and she got it at 10.
For me it is a pain to read this, I pray for change to come to Cuba on all levels and prosperity in every way to your beautiful island, I know what you feel, because you have no choice, here the company of the state made me live horrible moments of truth, a big hug from Venezuela to you for each of the Cubans.
Thank you for your good wishes. I hope everything will one day change for the better. ✨

Thank you! 👍
Amiga I have always admired the good management of your networks and data, in fact you have given me some tools when I have to connect, when for any eventuality I have not had internet and those tips have worked very well for me. Thanks for the invitation, a hug!
Thank you for always having kind and supportive words for this friend who loves you so much and you know that you can always count on me for any guidance.
Greetings dear friend @actioncats.
An interesting initiative, thank you very much for the invitation. The use of technology started being a great help at work, I have a similar experience and then at home a help for the whole family. Your answer is very appropriate to the options that exist, especially in the country. And I think you make very efficient use of it.
A Hug ✨️😘
