”Thank God it's Friday” I said out loud as I walked into my office,ready to clear up the stack of work and be done for the week. I already had plans for my Saturday and they border on eating and sleeping for hours. I simply want to try out Bruno Mars lazy code of not doing anything at all on Saturday. My body was already humming the tunes in response to my thoughts.
Smiling all to myself, I decided to put off tomorrow's thoughts till the morrow and focus on the task at hand. ”Hey, Becky! How are you ? I didn't see you at the assembly point for sports, what’s up?”
”Nothing babe, I have a lot to do today, can't you see my desk?” I replied to Angela, my colleague and good friend who likes to ”mother” everyone but she is dearly loved.
”Alright, I can see you have a lot to do but I came to ask you for a favour. Please don't say no?”
”And what might that be? Hope it doesn't involve going to beat someone up this time?” I replied to her with a deadpan poker face. ”No no no, that was a one time thing na Becky, delete it from your memory joor” she replied half laughing as I joined in the laughter.
”So spill, what's the favour?”
”I'm in need of a new phone and the money is ready. I need you to accompany me and let's make a good pick”.
”See you as you dey ball. Do you have any spec in mind?” I asked
”No I don't but that's why you are coming with me. I know you have a good eye for gadgets and tech, do I'll leave it to you to pick something good”.
”Alright, I got you. Now can I please go back to my work Margaret Thatcher?”
”Yeah yeah…. whatever” she said, rolling her eyes in a funny way while walking back to her space.
I chuckled at her behaviour, knowing her temperament fully well and continued with my work. Since it's Friday, work closes by 1pm and since I had already promised to go with Angela, I didn't hurry out rather I waited for her at the reception. A little while later, she came out and we both headed for the phone shop together. On the way, I asked her what her budget was and when she told me, I decided to check online for some good phones within that budget. After browsing for a while, I mentally picked a few good brands to buy.
On arrival at Slot, a popular phone store in my city, we began to peruse through the different phone stands while I began to check out for the phones I had mentally picked but I was not seeing anyone on display and so I had to call the attention of a sales rep. The sales rep was a pretty young lady with a warm smile and she was quite patient as she listened to all my requests.
”So sorry the phones you are requesting for are not available at the moment but I can show you other brands with good features you would like” she said.
She took us to a phone stand with Redmi boldly written on the banner. She also went on to explain some of the phone's features. One phone caught my eye and I paid attention to it's features which were;
*5000mah battery (non-removable)
*6.88 inches display screen
*6gb Ram and 256gb Rom
*Android 14 version with hyper Is
*108 mp back camera.
When the sales rep finished listing out all its features, I was already liking what I saw. What's more the phone comes in a variety of colours ranging from starry night, dreamy purple to sage green. I immediately told Angela to pay for the phone because it was of good specs.
I explained to her that the battery strength would ensure that she doesn't worry about always charging her phone. The display screen would ensure that movie time was on point and enjoyable while the Android version would ensure quick app launches and responses while she multi-tasks on her phone plus the phone storage capacity was really good to keep files, music, movies and pictures as much as she wants. Angela smiled brightly because I had just picked out some good features she was worried about and it was to "our" liking. We are not picture freaks, so the camera quality doesn't bother us at all.
Angela went to the cashier to pay for the Redmi 14c phone and she picked the dreamy purple colour. I was so thrilled about the new phone because I knew that I would also get to enjoy the phone as well.

Phone battery health and storage space is very important these days when getting a phone. I’ve seen people use redmi phones here in Ghana and I can say they’re very good, especially the camera.

I don't have good eyes to pick a good phone. I also would ask someone just like your colleague did. The last phone I bought too, it was Vickoly who suggested it for me and I am still enjoying the phone now. So cool.
Lol, beating someone up was a rough play and Its been so long.
I learnt from my techy wizard brother. He would tell me what to look out for anytime I want to buy a phone and his suggestions work all the time.
