Photo was sha shot from the same Redmi I would be talking about on the post
When I first saw the prompt for android Vs iphone, I laughed a lot. I just said in my mind that food dun done (food is ready) for @abenad and I wasn't wrong because barely 10 hours after the community posted the prompt, aunty pepe has rushed to drop her 2 cent opinion on the topic.
Well here's my own opinion, personally I have always felt that the iPhones are overrated, too pricey and a rip off. I have also thought that anyone using an iPhone can best be categorised as a money miss road because what do you need to buy a phone of millions of Naira for? Or close to a million Naira?
Again, why spend so much on a phone that it's primary function is just to call, text then snap pictures like other phones in the likes of android?? I will always word my friends who are crazy about iPhones and are always eager for an upgrade. But brethrens, best believe that I saw the light o and this is me telling y'all that, IPHONE IS AN ACHIEVEMENT
It's like this, yeah, as a content creator and people who do online marketing of products, it's very keen that they own an iPhone and should always work towards an upgrade because the higher the iPhone generation, the clearer, neater and "badder" the camera. We all know that good picture quality is good business because the eye sees before it consumes.
As an Economist doubling as a blogger and one who naturally places value over price in everything, I will consider getting an iPhone in my next buy (no matter how pricey) to boost my social media presence and content.
I once wrote about how nothing concerns me with any special features that a phone has to offer. When going for a phone, my spec and preference is first the camera quality both front and back and then the battery life.
Coming to the preference between an Android and an iPhone, I am an avid android user who has never used her money to buy an iPhone before
Technically, the Economist in me saw it as a waste investing all that money on something that doesn't bring value. This was my archaic mentality from way back when content creating wasn't a thing. As time progresses, I saw that an iPhone is the game changer in content creation and social media presence such that one doesn't even need a professional camera or studio set to shoot.
You know, there are people who live off social media with their vlogs, pictures and other products plus services that they offer for sale. I knew first hand how useless an android phone is in terms of camera on my last month trip to a religious seminar. You know that skin like milk thing? “Chocolate and caramel ouu wee, the sun kissed you and said ouu wee”... yeah that thing, so it happened that the sun was really bright, the sort of brightness that will give your photo this abroad vibes. I located the part where the sun was reflecting and barely snapped two photos, when my redmi flag ship started telling me that the phone was too hot to continue.
Already, my family was out of our hotel room for us to walk down to the event we had travelled for. I didn't really panic because I thought that before we get to the venue, the phone must have cooled off. Did it cool off?? Yes it did, giving us an opportunity to pose for the family photo. We already pleaded with a passerby to snap us some pictures and he agreed, he has not even snapped anything yet but my redmi flagship was showing, “device is too hot for camera to continue”.
The man showed it to me and I was so angry that I was close to tears. Unfortunately, I was the only one with a clear camera and my brother's own iPhone was battery dead. My sister and her Samsung that the photos come out like a camera with cataract vision, could not help matters.
Amidst all that frustration, I remembered my iPhone 8 which was a gift that I had filled up and neglected due to low storage. I quickly checked my bag and brought it out, that was how we were saved from that embarrassment as the hotness of the sun didn't affect it. Or was it during my daughter's end of year party and I was called for a tying of tie competition, I gave my daughter my android phone to make a video of me in the competition. Only for me to be checking the video afterwards and saw they were 1 secs each, the sun didn't allow my daughter to shoot.
Looking at the whole thing now, I'd say that androids are the pricey ones and from experience, one cannot really get value like the iPhone. Even if the both brands share the same features, I'd bet that the functionalities are never the same as iOS will always have the bigger boy features.

I liked the story you added in between. It was funny. I also prefer iPhones to android but not for their camera(it's not the 'baddest' out there). I think, though, that it performs excellently in video output. Every other feature is good for me.
Are you sure? I haven’t even made an entry yet so what are you talking about 🥲
