Camera Quality or CPU Benchmarks

I am a huge tech gadget geek, but I’m not even sure why I don’t share much of that on Hive. Lol maybe it’s because I don’t actually ever get to test most of the tech stuff I love cos I don’t afford them? If I could, I would write about tech a lot more. For now, I’m not writing about it because most of the things I say will be in abstract and that’s boring and honestly useless, since you can find real reviews about that type of stuff online. If I ever become a brand ambassador for any tech company, like my bosses Olujay and Starstrings, maybe I’ll start doing tech stuff more.

Usually, the type of tech I am interested in and buy often (by often, I mean every other year) are phones and laptops. I look for different things depend on which of these two I’m in the market for. It’s honestly very difficult to settle on one thing as a deciding factor to get a piece of tech, cos my decision is usually based on a combination of different features. But let’s take a look at what features I usually focus on for both phones and laptops.

Camera Quality for Phones

Yeah, you guessed it. The camera a phone carries is the biggest thing I consider when shopping for a new phone. This is why I only use Samsung or Apple devices – I believe they have the best cameras in the smartphone market. I know there are several other phone brands with good cameras, but these two stand out.

However, even within these brands, phones have different camera qualities, so I tend to compare camera qualities a lot before going ahead to purchase. The fact that I’m big on camera quality doesn’t in any way suggest that it’s a deal breaker for me. It’s a deal sealer instead. I consider several other features like RAM, Latency, and battery life, then use camera quality as basis to close the deal. It’s the last thing I check for, not the first.

Obviously, I am not a professional photographer or anything, but I love photography. I like the ability to be able to capture nature in all its beauty. I don’t take pictures of myself often, but it certainly feels good not have to ask people with “better” phones to take pictures of you at the cookout.

For laptop, CPU Benchmarks are what I’m looking at.

In the past, my Laptop was very slow, so I used my phone for pretty much everything. These days, I don’t use my phone for much because I bought a laptop that’s solved my slow web time pain.

I strategize my phone and laptop to make up for the lacks in each other. My phone’s battery life is not so great right now, so instead, I made sure to buy a Laptop with great battery life. With my current Laptop, I get somewhere 5-7 hours of intense use (I’m talking WiFi, Bluetooth, high screen resolution), and almost an entire day of use if I’m doing light stuff like simple word document editing and video-watching. But the battery life is not even why I chose this machine.

I chose it for its Turbo Boost Processor

My current need right now is a Laptop that can handle multiple taps seamlessly without lag, and my laptop is just that! Google Chrome is a fucking menace to computers, and I am one of those people that open multiple chrome windows, each with several tabs open in them. My previous laptop was a 3rd Gen Core i3 machine with 4GB RAM and a 2.5GHz Processor. You can see how my lifestyle did not match my PC’s capabilities. My current PC on the other hand, is an 8th Gen Core i7, 8GB RAM, a Turbo Boost Processor with base speed of 1.8GHz and Turbo Boosts to max out at 4GHz. This is a huuuuge leap from the performance I was getting on my previous laptop! Lagging just got scrubbed off my vocabulary! I open all the tabs and windows and apps and my machine is just like, “That all you got?”.

Oh if you didn’t know what Turbo Boost is, it’s basically a technology that allows your device to become faster if it needs to. Think of it like how superman is. When he doesn’t need superhuman strength, he can be a normal human being and all, but he can also switch up real fast into the bad ass we all love. It’s important that I mention though that Turbo Boosting does affect my battery power a lot (and sometimes even makes the machine heat up), especially when I’m doing a lot of demanding tasks at once. So, it’s really a double-edged sword if you look at it.

Anyways, these are the two things I consider respectively for Phones and Laptops. It’s not really a decision of just camera or CPU benchmarks, but these are usually the deal sealers for me after everything else checks.

We had Huawei p30 and P40. They were truly underrated until the US placed a lawsuit on them. But yes, Samsung and iPhone, and if recently, pixels phones

Yeah, I know of Huawei to have some pretty cool phones as well. I've never used any before though. That's kind of weird, cos I've used almost all the phone brands around.

I know Xiami has pretty good cameras too. It seems to be especially liked by Nigerians. I see a lot of my friends here using them, and their photos look amazing.

I used xiaomi, they have brands of solid devices but coming from a multi Samsung user, you definitely can't compare it, Samsung is king

I thought iPhone was king?😂

The camera quality is the thing that I concern also when I should to buy a new cell phone. Since the first time I have cell phone, the camera feature is my only concern...

Yeah, it's definitely great to have a phone with a quality camera.

See me reading that turbo part in a laptop and is strange to me. Hahaha 😀 I am using a laptop too but I don't even bother checking those things once it's serving my purpose. And yes, it's very fast when it comes to Web stuff and the battery life is very good. I can use it for straight 5 hours if fully charged and not plugged into light.

For phone, I also love the camera. That's what I used to go for since I now learnt my lesson with my previous phone. I love to snap every image in all their beauties 😍

See me reading that turbo part in a laptop and is strange to me

Haha yeahhh, it's not something that many people care about. Even me, I found out about it and did some research into it when I was about to buy my laptop.

I can use it for straight 5 hours if fully charged and not plugged into light.

Sounds like a very powerful battery. I'm guessing the machine is new?

Smooth, man.

That's a sweetheart you have there. UHD too? Definitely watching hi-res videos with much better colour reps. It's suffering that often pushes one to aim higher. I know what my old laptop showed me.

Yeahh about UHD. I don't even watch movies on this machine that much. I am using my old laptop now as a TV because the screen is bigger and I enjoy movies on bigger screens.😂

I know what my old laptop showed me.

This comrade has seen premium shege😂😂😂
