RE: From The Creative Perspective Who Spends More Time Online : How I Keep My Digital Life in Check

Great writeup! You're like me in that I've long known of the value of setting up to-do lists as a way of plotting out my digital path ahead. I write most of my posts either in the evenings or overnight, when everyone is asleep and I can better focus on the tasks ahead.

I also have a Hive Notes folder where I list potential post titles (you'd be surprised at how many of my articles germinate from a good title), lines of text and partial paragraphs.

Sometimes I'll go in and find a scrap that I can use that will be perfect for something I'm working on now. I also have a huge over 5K words "work post" that I add to from time to time. This isn't intended for publishing, instead its a way exercise my creativity the samw way that a comedian will "try out" and develop a new joke or bit in front of an audience. Seeing it written out allows me to view if it'll fit in with a current or future writing project.
