I have a friend who charges his phone and gets to use it for two to three days before charging it again, and oftentimes, I get jealous of him. However, whenever I think about how he uses his phone, my jealousy drastically reduces. He is the type who is not fond of using his phone often. He does social media, but he is not deeply into it. I think the major thing he does with it is playing music, and we all know that playing music does not drain much battery compared to using the internet for many things such as social media, gaming, and other functions.
I am currently using an Infinix Smart 7, which has a 6000mAh battery capacity, and after almost two years, the battery performance has dropped a lot. Way back when I bought it, the 6000mAh battery was really up to the task. I am a heavy user, and back then, this battery could last me for a whole day when fully charged. But right now, I do not even know when I had to go for a power bank. The necessity was just too much because I was always looking for ways to charge my phone.
I am a Nigerian, and unfortunately, I do not reside in one of the few cities that have a regular electricity supply. Over here, we depend majorly on generators, and even for those who have a generator, the cost of fuel (petrol) is another big issue because it is very expensive. We have phone charging centers, which I patronize often, but I have to be economical about this because my battery does not last. It would feel like a waste of money to charge my phone with money and use it for just a few hours. So, I usually go around looking for places where a generator is running, either to beg the owner of the place to allow me to charge my phone or to charge without begging if there is an open socket for public charging. I was doing all this before I eventually resorted to getting a 20000mAh power bank, which, by calculation, is supposed to charge my phone fully three to four times.

What hack can I use to save my battery?
I know the warning about not using the phone while charging to make the battery last longer. I do not apply this rule when charging with electricity, but I do when charging with my power bank. To me, I do not do this for the sake of prolonging the lifespan of the phone’s battery or that of the power bank. I do it to allow the phone to charge faster instead of using it while charging and letting the charging remain stagnant at a certain percentage. Sometimes, I also notice that whenever I use the phone for multiple and heavy tasks while charging, the battery percentage starts reducing instead of increasing. Maybe this happens only to my phone, or perhaps it is because I am not using a very strong charger while charging.
This method makes my phone charge faster, and it gives me the feeling of "fully charged" satisfaction whenever I use it.
I do not know what I would have done if I had not gotten the power bank to support my phone’s battery.
Thanks!

The only reason that I may not use my phone while charging is so that it charges faster and because the power supply duration is not known. Else, I'll just use it. My battery lasts fairly well anyway.
