It’s a new year, and funny enough, I’ve noticed something interesting—there seems to be less talk about New Year’s resolutions this time around. In past years, when everyone celebrated the New Year, resolutions were a big deal. People would come up with plans for things they wanted to do or let go of, like changing their diet, dropping old habits, or starting something fresh. It was all about taking a different approach or trying to do things better than the previous year.
This year, however, it seems like everyone is more focused on other things. Maybe they have personal reasons they’re not sharing, but it’s clear that resolutions aren’t as prominent on social media anymore.
On another note, I don’t think I’ve ever been someone who prioritizes customizing my digital devices, like my phone or laptop. The most I ever do is change the wallpaper occasionally. Sometimes it’s a piece of art or a photo of myself, but honestly, I usually just stick to the default wallpaper that comes with the device. I guess I don’t have the time—or maybe the interest—to personalize my layouts.
To be honest, I’m not very organized when it comes to my digital devices. My apps are scattered, and my laptop documents are all over the place. Occasionally, I’ll make an effort, like grouping all my social apps in one folder, games in another, and work apps in yet another. It helps me find things easily. But eventually, I download new apps and forget—or maybe I’m just too busy—to arrange them.
This year, I want to change that. My plan is simple:
- Get a good wallpaper.
- Be more organized in arranging my apps so I can easily locate them, even when I download new ones.
- Try out some nice themes on my phone
Honestly, that’s about it. I don’t need a dramatic overhaul, just a layout that’s neat and functional. My current setup is so messy it’s not even fun to use my phone sometimes. Then again, I don’t really use my phone for fun; I barely have the time. However, as a football fan, I do occasionally play football games on it.
So, for this year, I’ll keep it simple—organize my apps, set a nice wallpaper, and enjoy a more functional layout. That’s all I need to feel like I’ve made an improvement!

I like you themed and it looks good for new year resolution
Thanks
You are welcome sir
People have outgrown silly notions that’s why resolutions aren’t trending. We don get sense.
Omoh… being organised about my life is all the stress I need, Abeg 😂 phone and wallpaper should join their papa
😂 that's the main thing dear, as long as it's organized we good to go
I know there are people that don't do new year resolution again because they did it last time and there was nothing to write home about, maybe its the lack of determination. Who knows, anyway I am a lover of customization. I love my phone and laptop being customized. I select good background for the lockscreen and screensaver making sure they compliment each other
I expected nothing less from our very own extra terrestrial dweller 😂, but selecting a lock screen that compliments the screen saver is that not doing too much 😄😄
It could be that people have decided to be silent about their goals. Most people still do resolutions. Some, however, just stick to finishing up what they couldn’t in the previous year.
Your choice for wallpaper use is like mine. I use a personal photo(rarely the default wallpaper).
I think it's wise to be silent about your goals though, and yes it's nice to see one of your nice pics display on the home screen of your device
