One minute I'm clearing up the notifications from discord, another minute, I'm on WhatsApp muting or checking out what goes on in the countless groups that I'm in. If I don't get notifications at all, it means my data is turned off or I'm out of data so whenever I'm online, there is always a notification to respond to and they are countless.
I remember how disorganised I was before regarding my digital life as I didn't take advantage of features like stopping or silencing notifications, muting or leaving least important engagements and most importantly, getting rid of whatever I no longer use. You'd see me trying to do everything and I end up wasting much time.
To say the truth, keeping these things in good control is not easy. Sometimes I would want to be everywhere, replying chat notifications, checking every emails, and even watching some YouTube video suggestions from notification. It is so time consuming and a lot of times, I'd feel I've not been productive even with the busyness.
Over time, I guess this comes with experience, I've learned of better ways to keep my digital life organized and less stressful to go through each day. When they talk about digital detox, taking away one's devices, it is because of the stress that comes from using too many apps, reacting too much notifications and keeping up to date.
One thing I've noticed myself doing to keep organized is that I have a way of arranging apps I use most often, keeping what I look for regularly in apps or boxes I can access easily. My social apps are arranged accordingly, I have all my documents in phases on WPS saved to clouds and my music and photos are saved in sections.
I don't get to reset or streamline my digital routine monthly but because of this prompt, I have the mind of getting rid of apps that keeps sending notifications when I don't use them anymore and always have notifications of apps of less important reasons muted so I don't have to deal with too much distractions especially when I have to follow more important routines.
My method may not be the best but I'm having a more peaceful digital experience with these methods, the chaos in using tech devices is avoidable but it's not easy to eliminate totally. I can't say I don't get overwhelmed sometimes when I'm on my devices but it's a good thing that I could minimize how overwhelming it can be.

Hehehehe. I just started clearing notifications. I mostly don’t remember till I’m about to sleep then I clear it up. I also don’t like to leave too many tabs open. That thing can trigger the OCD that I don’t have. lol.
I get the part of using and deleting. I’m deleting pictures and apps almost every day. lol. It’s funny and as long as your method leaves you feeling more in control, that’s all that matters o.
😂😂😂
You're so right about the OCD thing, I get scared unnecessarily 😅
Yeah, it sure feels better that way for me.
I always find it weird when I hold someone's phone and find so many notifications in the notifications bar. Some people leave it for weeks and it's so much, you'll find it hard, scrolling to the bottom. I can't, for the life of me. Subconsciously, I'll clear it all😂
😂😂😂
I can totally relate with how you feel when you see them, it's scary! 😂
