How time flies! It's been so long ago, like 10-12 years ago since I had my first experience using the internet and exploring a social media account. Now, I have a better knowledge how these things work and even using it to earn, I never imagined it will get to this but I'm glad I got the chance to access an internet that long ago.
I can still remember the days before I got an access, it was all about playing board games, and those games that required much strength to jump around. I'm either doing that or I'm reading novels which I enjoyed doing most. I'm not saying those days were boring, they were fun too until I got my first browseable phone from a friend.
The phone was of low quality and the browser didn't do much but having one to call mine and I could use it at anytime I wanted at home, made it very exciting as I learnt how to go about the internet. It didn't take me much time to navigate through since I was a good reader and I had seen people use their phones to do the same thing.
I know this sound kinda somehow but the first thing I did with a browsing phone was download a 2go app, and create an account on it. I also didn't waste much time to own a Facebook account after. Now that I think about, I've had that Facebook account for over 10 years now lol.
I can still remember how I struggled for a username on 2go, I don't even remember the name I used after all that struggle but I immediately started to find new friends on the account and was always excited to resume chatting with them whenever. It's amazing how we didn't spend much to get our browsing data.
For my first moments on Facebook, I used a free data mode. If anyone remember how the free data mode works back then, I couldn't see pictures, only texts but I was more than happy to at least be using it like that. I had to manage my small allowances for data to run 2go so I took advantage of the free mode on Facebook a lot.
My first experience with the internet and owning a social media wasn't grand at all but from that moment onwards has become a nostalgia for me as it was like one of my dreams came true after envying a close friend who had been using her phone to everything long before I got one for myself. I learnt a lot from that memory too.
I can still remember how I go about in my class asking close friends to chat me up on 2go announcing I finally got access to the internet like them. 2go and Facebook were a trend then and I was lucky to be among the many who got an account on both immediately I was gifted a new but very old fashioned phone which didn't matter.

Hahaha... I also made use of the free mode data, too and then, we didn´t care about seeing pictures but to chat and enjoy chatting. I also had a 2go account and that was after opening a Facebook account. I remembered I was doing my NCE when I was on 2go and it was an exciting moment then. Data was also very cheap and lasted longer than what we have today. Omo..we have stories to tell our unborn kids in the future 😂
Lol Facebook before 2go? That's an order I didn't people follow, we go into Facebook when we heard it's much better 2go back then 😂
We all have similar kind of experience. I remember free Facebook, text without any photo5and we used to enjoy that. Now we can't think social media without video and shorts, right?
