The shortcuts in computers obviously make our work easier and faster. Even when I discover mistakes on multiple steps of my activity on the PC, I can simply undo (Ctrl+Z), and that solves the error. How awesome it is, plus other amazing shortcut features we are blessed with. Today, I am reimagining my real life with shortcuts just like a computer. How creative this prompt sounds, hehehe 😃, so lets see which of these shortcut features I would love to bring to my real life.
Do you remember that spoken words cannot be retrieved? I am someone who is quite emotional, and in some cases, this has caused me to say words that I later regret, and I wish I could just undo it and save the moment. To be sincere, the last misunderstanding I had with my husband sometimes this year was due to misuse of words when I was very angry over an issue. By the time I was calm, I couldn't believe I actually made such a statement. Unfortunately, the statement has registered in my husband's heart, and he was so furious on me. I imagine going to his heart to erase it, if wishes were horses. Imagine if my life has shortcuts just like a computer; the Ctrl+Z feature will be a must-use for me. Even in social gatherings, out of excitement, I once find myself saying what I felt like rephrasing during our conversation, but it's just impossible, and I was filled with regrets. So this undo feature is just a perfect one for my real life because it will just be a life saver at the perfect time 😃.
Another shortcut feature I would really love to bring to life is CTRL + F (Find). Just yesterday, when we were set to go for first service, I couldn't find my house key from anywhere in my home; sadly, my boys swore they didn't touch the keys. Can you just imagine that? To say that finding this key disorganized my morning is an understatement. It can be crazy, believe me. I burnt an extra 30 minutes looking for this key when I should be inside the church. Just imagine if I could just press CTRL + F (Find); won't it save me stress and my precious time? Lolz. I am sure most of us have been here before. It could be a very important document that just suddenly got missing, hiding somewhere in your house, and all effort to find it proved abortive. In fact, I have been frustrated many times due to the ultimate search for one item or the other. I really hate to misplace my things; unfortunately, it seems inevitable; however, if it's possible to bring in this shortcut feature to real life, I wouldn't hesitate to embrace it. LOLZ
Lastly, having a bad day sometimes seems inevitable. As much as we are fully aware that life is filled with ups and downs with uncertainties, there are just some days I felt I should pause and reset. I have felt this way so many times, and I wish the day didn't exist, just from one trouble to another, from one bad news to another, giving me the feeling of starting afresh. Maybe I could have a brighter day. This is where the CTRL + ALT + DEL (Restart) feature will come through for Nkem.
Life really will make more sense with most of the shortcut features, just like we have them in computers. I am lost in varieties of imaginations at the moment 😃, if wishes were horses indeed.

My Favourite is ctrl + f to find my crochet hook. You can imagine how many times I have to look for it everyday😂
