When I see or read about some people's methods of balancing out their digital lifestyle and hiw they keep it in check, I'm really amazed at how tgey do so and if they really stick to it cos I have tried to follow some suggestions but I find myself getting tired of the regiment.
My digital life is not really that organized per say. There's no specific method that I use. I just go with the flow,. I really do not have a method that I use because I am not really good at following a strict plan
Three years ago, a friend of mine once told me to stop working and join her to make money online, she said she didn't even know why I am going to wotk every day that I need to join her.
I told her that I would think about it and give her a reply. She introduced me to this online business that I would have to stay up late monitoring. I stayed up to five hours before going to bed , staying glued to my laptop. I became so attached to it that my real life activities were affected.
I.was gradually drifting way from things that I needed to do that where important at home, work, my children's assignment and even at my place of worship. Even my business was suffering.
I had to caution myself , especially when the money from the site was not forthcoming. I had to take charge of my digital life and make certain changes to it
What I do now is to check my messages early in the mornings and attend to them or else that chapter is gone till I am able to check the messages at night as the last thing before I go to bed.
Weekends are for checking my email thrice a day since I would not be going to work and I would have time on my hands. I make sure to tidy up any pending mails so that I will not have to do double work the next week
As for Facebook and twitter, I attend to them whenever I have a notification or a message pops up. Once in a while, I browse through to see the latest news and gists from all around the globe.
The two social media handles that I frequently operate are #Youtube and #whatsapp. I use WhatsApp for communication puposes and for sending broadcast messages to the various groups that I belong to. Youtube I use to unwind and de-stress after a day's work.
I watch reels and short videos fir about an hour or so depending on how interesting what im watching is. I try not to spend too much time though as I always have a lot of work to do especially in managing the home front.
I look forward to learning more adaptable ways to balance my digital life.

It is not really easy to balance out digital Life especially when one has kids to tend to but if you can set some instructions on your phone, it will help.
For example, YouTube as a timer feature that you can set for a specific time and when that time is up, the app will shut down by itself.
