Thanks to technology and social media, life has made it easy to learn and know more about the happenings around us as humans to improve our knowledge as well as standards of living. Thanks to this prompt, I will be able to share with you what I googled last and why. A friend of mine makes use of the word sterile in one of our conversations and I decided to do some research on the word "sterile".

This particular word can be used in two ways; in a hospital setting, the word sterile can be used when talking about sterilization and keeping medical equipment or tools in clean and good condition. Keeping them sterile is much better in order not to pass germs or other pathogens into the body of a patient either through surgery or any other treatment.
Another meaning of sterile is the inability to reproduce or produce offspring. I got to know that sterility can be temporary or permanent depending on the underlying cause. Sterility happens both in humans and animals, and when it comes to humans, it happens in males and females. In males, a man cannot impregnate a woman, and in women, it is the inability to conceive. Sterility can be caused by problems with the production of healthy gametes, problems with the transport of gametes, or issues that prevent the fertilization process from occurring successfully.
In humans, there are many biological and medical reasons why an individual may experience sterility. Common causes of sterility are low sperm count, poor sperm motility, abnormal sperm morphology, hormonal imbalances, physical trauma, endometriosis, fibroids, age, PCOS, alcohol, smoking, being exposed to toxins, chemotherapy, birth defects, diabetes, drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, undescended testicles, infection, ovulation disorder, pelvic inflammatory disease, poor egg quality, primary ovarian insufficiency, and tubal infertility to mention but few. These occur in males and females, in some cases, behavioral patterns and lifestyle also contribute to sterility.
The implications of sterility can be profound both physically and physiologically. For anyone desiring biological children and being sterile, this might become a hard nut to crack as it may seem impossible to give birth to children of their own. Emotionally, it does drain relationships and leads to feelings of inadequacy, loss, and social stigma in some cultures. With the help of technology, some processes have been introduced that serve as a help and solution to sterility. The use of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
With these treatments, many would be able to have their children but in a case where these listed treatment didn't work out as desired, such individual or couple will result to adoption which means they might not be able to have their biological children. Even though some culture see adoption as a taboo ,they believe one must have children related by blood but nevertheless, being healthy to avoid problems is the best. This was what I googled last and I did that due to the conversation I had with a friend.
Thanks for time and your comments will be appreciated.
