There has been an endless debate about iPhone and Android. Though I'm not here to argue which is better, I'd like to share my point of view. I have used both Android and iPhone. However, I have not used Android for long, but my little time with Android is enough to make me appreciate the maximum utility I derive from using an iPhone.
There are a lot of misconceptions about iPhones. Some critics still argue that the iPhone didn't bring anything new to the table. Many people dismiss them as just luxury products and cutting them down to size. Well, the iPhone made everything better and it deserves its praise.
Why iPhone?
It's durable and enjoyable
I'm naturally careless with my phones, but no matter how careless I am with my iPhone, it has withstood years without any crack or reduction in quality.
iPhone is also not only durable but Has a good user experience with exclusive features like Airdrop, FaceTime, iMessage, Handoff, and a lot more. You don't have to download a lot of external apps.
Its minimalist design and aesthetic
As a minimalist, one of the things that made me stick to an iPhone is its simplicity, minimalist and aesthetic design. I love how sleek the phone looks, both its hardware and software are intentionally minimalist while still functional.
To be honest, 50% of my love for the iPhone is because of its minimalist design, its clean and uncluttered.
Security and data protection
The security of the iPhone is top-notch. You can't easily break an iPhone's security, and besides, Data is more secure than in Androids. IPhones make users feel safe with features like Apple ID, face ID, encrypted messaging, app permissions, and a lot more.
Exclusivity
From its built-in apps to its features, everything feels exclusive. This exclusivity sometimes creates a sense of community among iPhone users. A community where iPhone users can interact seamlessly with features like Airdrops, iMessage, and so on.
iPhone and my digital lifestyle.
IPhone's minimalist and elegant design is one thing that has kept me using it. iPhone's minimalist hardware and software design seamlessly blend into my minimalist lifestyle.
Nonetheless, the iPhone has a lot of built-in apps that have been helpful in my daily activities and lifestyle. Reminder is one of my favourite built-in apps which help me with my daily to-do list and other important things because I can be forgetful sometimes.
In conclusion, I started using the iPhone six years ago, and I never regretted it. Though The iPhone has its downsides. Such as:
- iPhone supports only one physical SIM,
- No extended storage space except through buying iCloud storage,
- It hard to download videos and movies from movie site,
- It's hard to connect with other phones which is sometimes annoying.
I've sometimes considered switching to Android. I remember wanting a Samsung Note because of its phablet features, which would make digital drawing easy, and more recently I was a little obsessed with the Samsung Z flips phones. But aside from that, I don't think I have had any real reason to switch to Android.
Although the iPhone may not be for everyone, it has always been a good choice for me and my digital lifestyle. As the saying goes, “Another man's food is another man's poison”

I used to dislike iphones in the past and would politely object to using it. But right now, I would be using one as it's given to me as a birthday gift and I hope to enjoy it. But talk of Samsung, it's the best for me. I've been using my Samsung for almost 2 years now and I love it.
Samsung is a good phone regardless. I guess your experience with iPhone will change your perspective
Not me smiling all through this post because you touched on all the sectors except that the one sim thing is a huge especially for places with lagging network….you need to keep changing sims just for better network and it’s just stressful.
I know, it's annoying🤦🏽♀️.
There is e-sim though
E-sim is even more stressful than the normal way. If you want to change your phone, you have to always go to the office of the network you use for them to do another one for you because the old one deactivates. That thing stressed me in every way possible. I will never do again.
