The legendary iPhone and android debate is here once again. For some reason boys will always argue about this and we’ll never get to see a winner. I remember how I bragged to my friends back at SHS that I’ll never stoop so low to use an iPhone and if any of them ever saw me using an iPhone they should take it from me and throw it away.
Fast forward to 2025 and here I am using an iPhone. Truth be told, I’ve always been a Samsung lover and I’ll always be one. Not using an iPhone has never crossed my mind. I’ve never discarded the idea so all those comments were just for argument sake.
If you ask me one word that I’ll use to describe or defend an iPhone I’ll say is that they have a loyal fan base. They are so loyal to the iPhone name and this is what the apple company capitalises on to sell shit to them year in year out. One thing that I’ve noticed is that they have a wonderful ecosystem and the moment you get into the ecosystem thing with iPhone then you’re hooked. It’s a seemless system which makes your life easier around all your devices and honestly if you’ve ever used it, it’s among the best.
If you happen to have an Apple Watch, an iPad, a MacBook and an iPhone then say bye bye to ever seeing reason that there’s a better option than apple. For the ecosystem part I give it to them. Apart from that the iPhone doesn’t surpass top notch android phones in anything.
When it comes to battery we have 1000s of android devices which have better battery. We have 1000s of android phones which take better picture quality. We also have more features on an android phones than on iPhones as well.
I always tell my friends that every year apple picks an android features and then rename it as theirs. I recently read somewhere that on IOS 19 you’ll be able to see how long it’ll take your iPhone to charge. Really? This has been a feature that has been on a Samsung since the S2 or so. And in big 2025 apple is now going ti introduce it.
The other thing too is the dark mode which they recently introduced. This feature annoys me so much. The good lord knows that android phones have had this since the 80s and then apple suddenly introduces it and it’s a big deal.
I use an iPhone now but for me I’ll always be inclined to an android when it comes to the iPhone and android debate. To those who also say they used an android first before switching to an iPhone and they’ll always pick an iPhone over an android phone I have a message for you. Maybe you should stop using the tecno spark 2 and 3s and buy a better android phone which cost as much as the iPhone you’re holding. You might just see the difference.

I can edit 2 different pictures on different Apps, work on video editing on CapCut while still scrolling IG and texting my friend on WhatsApp all at the same time without any form of lag on an iPhone 7 which is a cheaper version of iPhone, name me one cheaper version of Android that can do that. 😏
With an iPhone, from the older to the newer generation, you know what you're getting; speed, swiftness and smoothness. But then, you also know what you're getting with an Android shaaa. Battery power worth 10,000 mAH power bank and a phone that lags and degrades with time. 🌚
I enjoyed reading this by the way! Love the playfulness. 😂
Firstly have you used an android phone before? If yes, which android phones have you used. Are they any where close to the price of the iPhone 7?
There is no phone in this world that does lag. The only difference is the difference in the lag time. An iPhone lags way less than a budget android phone.
Maybe you should try using a redmi or even a google pixel. I bet you an S9 is almost the same price as an iPhone 7 and can go way better than an iPhone 7. Instead is switching between apps you can split the screen and so those tasks you’re talking of.
There you go.😂🤝
I see you came prepared, love that!. 😂🤝 But let me start by saying, yes, I’ve used Android before. In fact, I’ve experienced the full range, even if not personally, from the chinko to the so-called "flagships", if Redmi belongs to that category. I have a friend that uses the "Almighty" Google Pixel you’re hyping and ngl, I get the hype. Also, I've surely seen Samsung in action. It's not bad, but when it comes to consistent swiftness, multitasking and even internet strength, iPhone still wins. Yes, all phones lag, but the "lag time" is a thing too. Ain't nobody got the time to sit around for 2 minutes waiting for a phone to listen to instruction....
And as for splitting the screen? Why would I want to see two things at the same time and strain my eyes? 🌚 I prefer smooth switching thank you!
S9 for the same price as an iPhone 7? Sure, but that’s assuming you don’t mind replacing your battery twice a year sha. Meanwhile, my “old generation” iPhone is still serving premium battery health without breaking a sweat. 😏 And let's not talk about the fact that I don't need an entirely new App to send files to another iPhone, we're families over here as we have a thing called Airdrop, which I'm sure you know. 🌚
Sha, na banter we dey do o, before Android fanboys come for my head. 😂 I'm just a girl please. At the end of the day, whether it’s Apple or Android, just pick your poison and enjoy the ride. But it's not too late to join the iPhone fanbase though, you already own one anyways, (winks).
Herh😂. You know your stuff. It’s banter but I’ll still reply 😂.
I seee you too love apple that you don’t even know Samsung has something we call quick share. It works as good as the airdrop you’re hyping.
And the Samsung ecosystem is as dope as the apple ecosystem.
This is the first time I am actually hearing of a Samsung user needing to change battery twice a year ooo. Maybe you’re talking of a low budget android device.
Plus this airdrop you’re talking about how many people use it for serious business. I use an iPhone and the only thing I’ve used it to transfer to someone is a picture.
I get that iPhones are great but until you get out of that cycle you’ll not realise that year in year out apple just changes the name of a good android software and makes it theirs and then the apple foot soldiers will hype it till we want to cry😂.
Plus a split screen is dope. I like to multi task with laptop and phone and I know that split screen won’t definitely strain your eyes.
Plus you being a girl makes this nicer. I hardly meet women in tech so it’s lovely meeting someone who knows her stuff. 🤝
Lol is the conclusion part for me 😂😂
You didn't speak lie at all, I think the only people who should argue iPhone are way better should be those who have used the best of android phones. I use Redmi and I'm thinking of going for a better Redmi phone again lol.
IPhone is just the name but I'll love to know how it makes life easier so I'll get one someday.
😂😂I had to. Cause a lot of people who claim they have used android before switching to apple phones didn’t use any correct android phone before switching. But then they end up comparing the two which is not fair.
I am using an iPhone currently and well all I can say is you’re not missing anything.
Lol I felt relieved and less oppressed reading your post 😂
😂😂😂don’t be. I am with you.
