RING-RING!!

Is it possible to suffer PTSD induced by ringtones? Care to know why I asked that? Here it is; as I read the week's topic and tried to think of my ringtone story, what kept ringing in my head was the annoying, deafening ringtone of my mother's techno button phone. The sound of my mother's phone ringing used to make me want to cry or just pick up the phone and smash it. It's that bad.

Away from that, my first ringtone was a default one from the Nokia button phone I used. I couldn't change it cause there was nothing better to change to(there were other tones there, but i didn't care). When I got an android, I was always changing my phone tones. I alternated between different western music from Beyonce, Drake, Backstreet boys, and the others. One of my favorites, one of the many that i used for a longer period, was 'Wrecking ball' by Miley Cyrus.

Back then, I used to like ringtones that made an announcement. I cared that people sang along or asked who the singer was when the song came on. I wasn't dramatic, but since Western songs were what was in vogue for my friends, my sister, and I, it was only best(read as dramatic) that I used the hottest ones.

That's a long time now. I'm still team "use a pleasant song and ditch boring,' default tones, only that my taste has changed and I no longer do western songs. Before my current one, i used Duduke by Simi. My current ringtone is a gospel song, "Bigger Everyday by Moses Bliss." It resonates with me and i like the message it drives home whenever i hear it. Plus, i could shake my body to it a little. Lol.

I've switched between gospel songs and some secular, even though I don't sing much secular songs. Now I remember when I was using this praise jam from Sensational Bamidele and when my phone starts to ring, rather then pick, I'd either sing along or dance to it, depending on where I was. Nobody advised me to change it sharperly cause the way I was burning airtime, ehn! Lol

Lucky for me, I've had no embarrassing moments. None that I can think of, for now.
My current ringtone is just okay. As is my way, whenever the spirit leads, I switch it up.
Until next time...BYE!
