1st July has a special meaning for different people. For some it means the death of their city and their future, I will save that for another post. For most, it signifies us entering into Covid life for the fifth month, more for some countries. And of course, on Hive it's another PUD day.
I've been taking part in PUD since September and sponsoring a 10 HP prize since November. I would have powered up anyway as I'm here for the long run and my target is to get to Orca status by 2021. I think that is doable as I have 18 months to achieve that. This month my account has grown by over 3700 HP, helped by some power down from Steem, but I doubt I will be able to grow by the same magnitude every month as all my power down is finished now. Which, on the bright side, I'm Steem free now!!!!
Hive PUD Guessing Contest x 2
Some of you may know I like to a host little PUD Guessing Contest every month with my PUD post. A few days ago I was struggling to think of one for this month. And suddenly today I thought of two. I couldn't decide on which one to do, so thought why not do both?!! This month, you have a double chance of winning because you can enter both contest. The maximum you can win is 20 Hive!!!
PUD Contest #1
The image above is my tomato plant. Buds have started to appear last week and they've started to flower a couple of days ago. Perhaps I will have some tomatoes very soon! I can't wait!! The plant on the left has more buds on one of the branches and they're concentrated in two clusters, one towards the tip and the other a bit further down.
How many buds do you think there are on these two clusters when I reveal the answer? Your answer will include buds that have flowered already. You may guess once, and I will give you a tip - the answer is under 30.. These two images are the same branch taken from different angles to give you a better view.
PUD Contest #2
Since the lockdown I haven't purchased anything apart from food, toiletries, and of course gardening stuff for my Weed Garden. Today I went out and saw these credit card holders. They block RFID and I've been looking for these for ages. All my credit cards have a contactless function and during lockdown I hardly use any cash. The design of these wallets are so beautiful and it was very difficult to choose one. Which one do you think I bought in the end? You can make one guess.

Steemfree @livinguktaiwan. In all honesty, I still have mixed emotions about the whole mess. But ... Life goes on, right?And tomatoes! In the short amount of time I have, I checked into your weed garden post and was sorry that I missed that one. You obviously have been very busy creating a garden indoors!? That is very unusual, from my experience. Maybe not so much there?
When I can find time and sufficient motivation, I need to catch up on my own gardening posts. During this time of year, I much prefer being out in the garden and "playing in the dirt," than "in here" writing about it! 😉

Ahh!!! You must live in the country side and not a flat in the city 😀 Indoor gardening is probably limited to the window sill for most people without outdoor space. I'm a fortunate as I have a spare floor that I don't use so I have turned it into my Weed Garden and experimenting to see what I can grow. So far I have had some luck but lack of light is a problem as I notice my plants are rather pale. As long as I can grow something that's edible, I'm very happy!

50k for Orca, it a big jump from Dolphin. I need to power up over 733 HP every month to reach my target 😖
Ouch, that's huge!!!!! I don't think I'll make it. I'm keeping some liquid 'just in case' for a jump. See if I can't profit a bit like the big boys. Unlikely though - I always miss these events haha
