Hello, my dear hivers. Today I want to share with you the tour we did in the exhibition of Vincent van Gogh that took place in Plaza Norte, Lima, Peru. During this tour, they explained us how was the life of the famous painter who many years after his death was recognized as the precursor of abstract painting, being the first to make this type of paintings in his time. Van Gogh suffered from severe depression and the only thing that helped him to get out of that state was to bring his paintings where he could express his feelings and emotions.
Van Gogh dedicated his life to art, but unfortunately he only managed to sell a single copy of all the paintings he made. The greatest motivation of this renowned painter was that by creating his works he was able to convey emotion and feeling, the same he was feeling at that moment. Among his paintings, the most recognized is "The Starry Night", this painting represents the sky beyond the stars as he imagined them through his window. It also highlights the painting "Sunflowers", where he painted 14 sunflowers in a vase representing the stages of his life, wanting to express with the yellow color his inner world. For him, sunflowers represented gratitude. Vincent van Gogh had a unique style in his time, standing out for his thick and energetic brushstrokes, as well as for his use of vibrant colors. Throughout the tour there were guides explaining all the paintings and environments. My favorite was the representation of the sunflowers, where we were able to take very nice pictures. I hope you liked it very much and let me know in your comments what you thought of it.
