Sitting on a couch on the balcony and holding a cup of tea, I was continuously thinking about my retirement plans. I was also thinking about how would I feel when I will be completely retired from my job.
Anyway, I am an old fella and I know my retirement time is coming, maybe within 1-2 years I will be retired from work. What will I do after that, I devoted my entire life to social welfare, I helped people, I contributed my life for the nation. Maybe, I will continue helping people, it makes me feel happy.
After my retirement, I have to move to my land, that land where my mother used to live, 100 miles away from the place where I live now, a sub-urban area. Better I should start my retirement era from there. I can't remember properly about my childhood, it seemed blurry now and I hardly can recall my wonderful childhood.
I can remember my friend, my home where I grew up but that's it. My mother left us 30 years ago and after that our home was taken care of by my relative. We left our home a long time ago and started living in the big city for livelihood.
It is understandable why people become sentimental talking about their motherland or about their childhood home. It's an emotion and we always say "home, sweet home" because, in the end, we all return to our home. People also believe that happiness lies in the home.
You start your day from home and you end up your day at home. You have nowhere to go except home. Home is where your all memories are preserved, your emotions lie in every detail and everywhere in the home.
It's people that help us to build our home, our dearest one helps us to find a space that gives us comfort. Home is built with love and affection and emotion. You will find nothing like this anywhere. No matter where you move or where you are trying to start fresh, in the end, you will question yourself is it your home?
This home is for my kids which I have made for them, they have spent their childhood here. I guess when they will be on my age, they will think the same and will come here to visit the home.
I will go back to my home, today or tomorrow.
