Hola amigos, hoy quiero contarles una anécdota muy curiosa… Hace ya varios años sembré una planta de ciruela criolla con la ilusión de cosechar algunas frutas. Fui consciente de que tendría que esperar dos o tres años para poder empezar a disfrutar de esta deliciosa fruta.

Hello friends, today I want to tell you a very curious anecdote... Several years ago I planted a creole plum plant with the illusion of harvesting some fruits. I was aware that I would have to wait two or three years to start enjoying this delicious fruit.

Pero ya pasados los tres años no obtuve nada, siguieron pasando los meses y nunca logre verle algún fruto. Un día un amigo nos visitó y me pregunto cuántas cosechas has disfrutado de la planta. Mi respuesta fue, Ninguna… Le comente que nunca había dado frutos.

But after three years I got nothing, months went by and I never saw any fruit. One day a friend visited us and I wondered how many harvests you had enjoyed from the plant. My answer was, none... I told him that it had never borne fruit.

Posiblemente es la zona, es muy calurosa y llueve poco, y me dio unas recomendaciones, de las cuales algunas me resultaron lógicas pero otras, solo me parecían tonterías.

It's probably the area, it's very hot and it doesn't rain much, and he gave me some recommendations, some of which were logical but others just seemed silly to me.

Igual seguí las instrucciones, yo debía estar pendiente que cuando se aproximara la cosecha no dejar que le crecieran hojas al árbol, fue un poco tedioso y los ratos que pase haciendo ese trabajo pensaba que era una pérdida de tiempo.

I followed the instructions anyway, I had to be aware that when the harvest came, not letting the leaves grow on the tree was a bit tedious and the times I spent doing that work I thought it was a waste of time.
