Meeting old class mates is always a pleasant surprise and has happened to me quite often, since I moved back to my hometown.
This year, actually a couple of days ago, I got the pleasure to meet some class mate of mine from primary school and it was quite nice to catch up and scroll back through time. It's been about 25 years since he left and I remember him crying at that time for leaving the country and us. I guess we were 10 years old when he left.
The person I'm talking about is the second one from left. The first in the pic is me by the way 😁. The other ones, except for the third from left, were also class mates of mine. We stayed close friends for many years and still are.
Here you have us all having dinner at a restaurant near Danube.
Although all of us are spread somehow to different corners of the world we meet at least once a year. Now that we got in touch with the last one and he plans on staying one more week in town we will definitely hang around more often. Definitely a boat cruise will be involved as well.
Although we are somehow tied to this country spiritually, most of the ones living abroad won't get back in here for good. Nice to meet them once in a while though.
What about you, how often do you meet your class mates?
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
Ahhh, can totally relate to this. I left my state for an internship program after school over a year ago and just got back home last June..
During this period of my return, I made out time to reconnect with some old buddies and it was always wonderful to do so..! Catching up on new happenings whilst relieving the old memories over laughs is always epic😁
Nice to see you had fun re-uniting with your friends too...
I used to avoid such events, but now I like em. We plan on meeting again and have a boat cruise on the good old Danube. Will do some drone footage as well and post them on @3speak.
We do a yearly meet up - people are now even interested for more frequent meet ups, but its extremely challenging to fit a date for maximum ( with the capacity of around 500 people out of which around 150 - 200 turn up). So we just do one and planning happens almost 2-3 months before.
That's really nice. I only had spontaneous meet ups.
