One of the most delicious if not THE mushroom when it comes to amazing taste- the Shiitake. I so love their odor and they are not too difficult to grow either. And they are super healthy, too!
Though its typical for the mycelium/the culture to turn darkish black brown they also fruit first when taken out of the plastic bag and are introduced to oxygene and colder temps. They grow in our vaulted cellar around 12degrees celsius.
