Pizza With Coffee ☕️

Last week I was in a conversation with my sister. We had a discussion about having fun at leisure. It's not always about working all day. But it's about getting the best out of yourself while you keep at it. Sometimes there should be room for relaxation, rest, and creating memories.

I told her about the first time I had a taste of shawarma. I felt somehow after taking the first bite, but later on, I got to appreciate every bite I took. I started buying more of it and it became something I was used to.

Things changed when I was out of school for my national service year. I was posted to a remote area where I hardly got to see any restaurants or snack shops around where I lived. I survived the year without a taste of shawarma.

After service, I came back home and decided to take it again, but I had to buy it from the street. I thought it would have a similar taste to the one I used to take when I was in school, but it was just so different. It was like a low-budget shawarma.

While I was passing through the street where my brother resides in Lagos, there was a building that has been ongoing for about three months now. Everyone had been saying this or that about it, it could be a hotel, ooh no, it's a company headquarters office, some say it's a mall, and many other things. I was just patiently anticipating what it would be.

Yeah, two days ago they added a brand logo on it. And guess what it was the logo of that same restaurant I patronized when I was in school. Wow! Finally, they came down to Lagos. Now I can recreate memories.

They have a lot on their menu, party rice, shawarma, instant coffee, snacks, and drinks, but recently they just added pizza.

Reading the topic to discuss today took my mind far away. I began to imagine myself in the new restaurant and only if I could have those imaginations come to reality. Maybe a magical restaurant just appeared close to us. I began to think of different things.

Coffee and pizza

Sure, I have taken instant coffee and shawarma before. I can't imagine myself taking pizza too. I have never tasted pizza before. Only if I could just place an order immediately since pizza is a part of the menu now. I will just order it with a cup of warm coffee.

The mystery remains, will the taste of both match up with each other? I am hopeful it will. At least there is always a first time trying out things. People do tell me they take pizza with ice cream. But now it seems weird trying to take it with coffee.

Coffee date night

Let love prevail, I have seen myself all alone in the streets, in restaurants, and when I try to relax. But only if I could have the opportunity to be with someone I love and cherish. Even if it's just for a night and over a coffee cup with pizza. Having both hands picking up the same pizza and smiling at each other over discussions. It would be a nice way to start another phase of life.

Coffee with Mamijo

Who is Mamijo? She is one of my favorite online celebrities. Not as famous as other musicians or skit makers, but I took her as my mentor and my model when it comes to my business. She is vast and experienced. I have always wished I could have the opportunity to meet with her even once. There is a lot I want to table in front of her and learn from.

What if I get to meet with her in this restaurant that's about to open and then my long-time dreams come to pass? I know she might not want to show up in such a place maybe due to her busy days. Only if there could be magic that can make things happen.
