Seasonal Coffee Time

I can say I am gradually getting more likeness for coffee, in the past few days I have been so ill and not even myself. I went to see the pharmacist for drug prescriptions and some tests. I was diagnosed with malaria and typhoid. But I also feel so cold on a normal evening. The pharmacist also gave me some cold tablets to use.

For over a week that I have been so sick, I lost my taste and even at times I lost my appetite. I don't know why it happens that way. Everything I taste gives a different taste, so Mum asked me to try taking some soft drinks. It gave me a different vibe but I couldn’t take much of it because it was so chilled.

I had about two sachets of Nescafé at home. Oooh! Bro. Please help me make some warm water. I want to have coffee. The aroma alone got me energized. At some point, I felt I should start taking two cups each day.

In the morning when I wake, the first thing is to get a cup and drink alongside my medication. At times I lick the powder just to be sure I have my taste buds intact. I am grateful I got better and coffee was part of my strength.

Coffee in the rain.

We just concluded the Harmattan season not long ago. And the next season upon us is the rainy season. Though during harmattan we witness cold weather it’s always so dry and sometimes always so hot during the day, but for the rainy season? It's at times cold but the weather in the atmosphere is always so cool. That's the difference between the harmattan and rainy times.

After about five months without a drop of rain, it rained in Lagos. I should say it’s the first rain of the year. The weather wasn’t so cloudy in the morning, but one could tell that the day didn’t appear as bright as it should. Everyone moved on with their daily activities. I went to visit my sister, and we decided to go out with an umbrella.

Just a few hours later, we got to the boutique, priced the goods we would be buying, bought those we could afford, and then started heading home.

Just all of a sudden the weather changed. And the sky got so cloudy, and we began to hear the heavy strike of thunder. She remembered her umbrella. I smiled and said!

Ooh! This is the first rain of the year! I am going to have it poured on my skull.

Mixed feelings all around. Some people are so happy, but when you see the market women who had all their goods outside under the sun before would have to rush and pack them inside, I guess they never wanted the rain.

Getting a vehicle or bike to take us home became so scarce. But yet we were still having fun. It was raining lightly at first. But all of a sudden it started pouring so heavily. Oops. Even my sister with an umbrella ran as fast as she got under a shade. I joined her there and we stayed till the rain subsided.

On our way home, we branched into a coffee shop to have something to warm up. It was nice sipping the warm coffee after the cold and rainy weather. It warmed me up from the inside, lol.

On my end, I know there is no perfect time to have coffee, you might feel like having it cold in hot weather, but it’s a choice. But my perfect time to drink coffee is after the heavy rainfall. Especially when you are outdoors when it rains.

Heyyy! I hope that you’re all well now? And please don’t have coffee when your sick! It dehydrates you terribly 🥲

Bro, I hope you are okay now. What you are going through right now is very uncomfortable. Get well soon.
Have a break and have a Nescafe coffee.

Yeah yeah. I am better now. I am grateful. Thanks for the nice words

Keep going on your way to be. Sip a cup of coffee to ease your problem about that. while your sipping a coffee they give you to think to whats doing next thats what a taste good of coffee break.

💯. That’s nice. And I am taking to your words.

Oh, I hope you're better already! It's good that coffee helps you gain some energy.
I was thinking about a similar scene scene than this one you're describing as an antonym of what coffee and rain mean to me, hehe. If it rains, I want to be home and sip some hot coffee...

Be safe 🙃❤️

Yeah yeah. Anyone goes. At home or outdoor. What matters is sipping that coffee.

And yeah I am better now. Thanks

And yeah I am better now...

Glad to hear that ☕

It's fortunate that you even remember drinking coffee with all that sickness you went through recently. It's true that the mere smell of coffee feels revitalizing. On the other hand, rain is always a good thing, so you better be happy about it, but take care of yourself to avoid relapsing into an illness.
☕️

Did it really rain the Lagos, God we need that rain this side, we're dying of heat o.
I'm glad to know that you feel better. And yes coffee is really fantastic, I love the refreshment it gives
