It was like any Monday morning, I woke up like every morning and got ready to go to the office, I was pretty tired after all the work of the weekend, but nothing, you have to face the week with joy and the best possible attitude, I prepared my breakfast and my lunch, I also had as usual my water and my thermos of coffee.
I left home a little late, but the important thing was that I would get to the office, I decided to go to the office by a different route, from time to time it is good to change the routine, what I did not know was what I would find on my way, so while walking through the park which allowed me to save me a few minutes, suddenly in my path came out a big black dog with brown, it was not a breed, but it was very beautiful, it looked sad and was quite thin.
At first I didn't pay much attention to him, but then I got the impression that he was asking me for something, at first I thought he was hungry, I sat down on one of the benches to take some of my lunch and give it to him, to my surprise the dog spoke to me:
-could you give me some coffee please, I need to have some of this wonderful drink and have a little chat with someone, of course if you have time.
I was in shock, a talking dog that drinks coffee, I didn't know which of the two things was more difficult to process, but I decided to stay, give him coffee and listen to what this dog had to say, I was too curious.

So I sat down, gave the dog a cup of coffee and saw how his face changed after drinking coffee, so after enjoying the coffee the dog began to tell me his story.
My name is Toto, I am a magic dog, I was the companion of a magician who lives in another universe, but when I was defeated by a terrible enemy, I was sent to this universe with the purpose of preventing me from helping my magician to free himself, that's why I can talk and drink coffee, but I can only do it with pure-hearted people, with those who really love animals, for the rest I am just another dog.
I sighed, I was moved and hugged the dog, I could see that he was very sad, so he between some continuous tears:
-this universe is beautiful there are very few people and animals with magic, but there is something that has deeply called my attention and it is the way they treat animals, I see besides mistreatment, the inference of people before the animal suffering, I can understand that not everyone can and wants to have an animal companion, but do not mistreat the poor animals that live in the streets, they did not choose to live there, on the other hand, those who do not mistreat animals, when they are present or know of animal abuse, they turn a blind eye to avoid problems, it is very sad to see so many animals unable to defend themselves and that no one raises their voice for them.
-I just want to find a human to adopt me and allow me to live with them in their home until I can heal my heart, so I can gather enough magic power to try to break the barrier and go to my universe and free my fellow magician.
At that moment Toto could no longer hold back his tears and began to cry and I with him.
Since that day Toto went to live with me and six months ago he went to his universe and I have started to help all the street animals that need it and with my example I have infected others who have joined to help and protect the animals in street conditions and once a month we meet in the park to have coffee and share what we have lived.

In my personal experience, many of the animals are capable of showing love, as well as other feelings and emotions without uttering a word.
Helping an animal is a fulfilling experience.
A nice story with a reflection included. I am glad that other people have joined the noble cause of helping homeless animals.
As far as animals are concerned, I will always try to sow in people at least respect for their lives, thank you for your visit.
I like the positive resolution, as there are way too many street animals and people with pets without the means to take care of them:)
Hello precious, I have seen people who live on the street share what little they have or got with dogs they have, as well as I have seen people in mansions with dogs in yards in a deplorable state, there are many forms of abuse and someone has to say something so at least someone will listen and as I said it is contagious, I have a coworker who adopted a cat after hearing me talk about mine, now she is the happy human of a beautiful kitten.

You who know me personally, you know how I am, seeing an animal and not being able to help it, makes me carry it present for hours and even days, if in our country as in some others there was a legislation that punished animal abuse in a stronger way, I think it would help a lot, but we must also recognize that much of the problem is education and culture.
