I can't help it, my love for this delicious and comforting beverage simply knows no bounds. Coffee is not just a drink for me, it's much more than that. It is my addiction, my lifestyle. I drink it at any time of the day, in any cup and even in glasses. No matter where I am in the house or what I'm doing, I'm usually always enjoying a cup of coffee.
I have always thought that a true coffee lover, is a person who drinks any kind of coffee. I have heard many people complain if the coffee is too weak, other times if it is too strong. In my case, this does not happen, I like my coffee however it is served to me. I have never complained about a coffee, except for some that have been really awful. I have had coffee spiced, cold, hot and in any container.
Unlike other people who drink it as a source of energy, for me, coffee is not only a source of energy, it is also a source of pleasure. I love the ritual of preparing and drinking it, as well as offering a steaming cup to my loved ones. Because besides, in all of Venezuela, but especially in the region where I live, coffee has the hidden purpose of bringing people together. A cup of coffee can be the perfect excuse for socializing, for sharing, for the exchange of ideas, for creative work. Coffee has very strong social and cultural implications.
I can only tell you that no matter the time of day, I always find the perfect excuse to enjoy a cup of coffee. In the morning, it's my breakfast companion, giving me the energy I need to start the day. In the afternoon, it is my refuge in the middle of the daily routine, a moment of tranquility, pause in the middle of the hustle and bustle and of course the best companion for a tasty mid-afternoon snack. Even in the evening, I can't resist the temptation to have a cup of coffee, even though I am advised not to do it so that it doesn't affect my rest.
And it doesn't matter what kind of vessel I drink it in, whether it's a porcelain cup, a plastic travel mug, an aluminum mug or a glass tumbler; coffee always tastes just as delicious. No matter if I'm in the living room, in the kitchen, at my desk or in the garden, coffee is always present in my life, giving me comfort and joy with every sip.
For me, coffee is not just a drink, it's a lifestyle. It is the source of energy and pleasure I need to face each day with enthusiasm and determination. It is my companion in moments of happiness and in moments of sadness, my refuge in the midst of chaos and my inspiration in moments of creativity. Coffee is much more than an addiction for me, it is an essential part of who I am and how I choose to live my life. This doesn't embarrass me, as I'm sure I could stop drinking it whenever I want, but for now I choose to continue to carry on with my coffee drinking habits just as I have been.
