As you might know, I went on trip to Caracas for a crypto festival, and of course the first thing I thought about when stepping off the bus was finding some good coffee. Behind the central stage of the event there was a nice-looking place called Vero. It is a regular open coffee in an area that looks like the preamble of a food court, but not exactly. The place has an amazing view to the mountains to the south of the valley and in you stand and move a bit you can see the Ávila (the main point of reference at the north of the city).
The place isn't exactly cheap. I spend around 7$. Or maybe it is cheap and I didn't realized at the time. It bought an espresso and a ham cachito (this is a baked bread that has a filling). I know some people came around and told me there was a cheaper place to buy food for breakfast, but I wanted to stay near the place and not going around carrying my bag and my instrument. The café allowed me to keep my things with me.
The attention was nice. The clerk answered all my questions and just told me to sit while I waited for my coffee.
Then, the surprise came around. Is it customary to get some carbonated water with your cup of espresso? Because I got one and I was wondering what I was supposed to do with it. I know about having water before drinking coffee. I had some. I was also eating cashews before arriving to the mall. But the shot of carbonated water was a weird surprise. I had my coffee and then I drank the water. Now, I know you should do the opposite.
Lots of ideas came to my mind while doing that. For example, mixing the water in the coffee. However, that was discarded. I ordered espresso to wake me up. Diluting it made no sense.
Anyway, I have to say that with the attention, the nice food and cakes they serve and the fast delivery time at any table, they are a nice place to have a coffee. The only bad thing I could say about the place is the location. Cerro Verde is really far from the city. But then again, in Caracas all distances are far from everything.
I'm hoping to get to do some more coffee tasting in the capital soon. When the time comes, I'll have my dear food blogger, friend and fan, @maryed to tell me where I should be getting my coffee in Caracas.
Another note is that I did not take any photos of the place. I gotta say going on sleeping fumes to anything is a problem. It's easy to forget things. Fortunately, I took some shots at my food and some coffee a friend I made on the trip ordered.
But overall, I felt fancy having a coffee at that place.

Me había. Escrito para hacer otras cosas en Caracas y solo vi lo lejos que estaba el Ávila y dije "¡qué va!"
Eso, vale. Recorrido aesthetic y café con mi foodie favorita.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. I've got to print this out and hang it on my fridge. 😂
Haha! We're happy that you like it!😂

It was awesome 😎
You come across many places when you travel. The good thing about it is to enjoy the experience. I think Mary is perfect for a good tour in Caracas. There are many nice concept coffee shops there.
Indeed. That trip is already planned. I'm just waiting for the time to come.
