Hello Hello internet people, today I want to tell you about my experience as a diner at Strada café, a coffee shop/bakery with a very aesthetic and bohemian style. My sister @mairene1 was having a birthday so I wanted to take her there to get to know the place, since I work there and I am in charge of making all the desserts. The name of the place means “Street” in Italian and I love the concept it has, with a beautiful aesthetic from the facade.

To be totally honest I don't like the aesthetics of the menu at all, I think they could have done a better job with it and not just put a bunch of leaves in a paperweight. If the concept of the place is quite bohemian and aesthetic, so should be the menu, I don't know, maybe use a notebook decorated with flowers, something much more subtle and delicate than a paperweight. However the food they offer on the menu is very varied and likewise they have a great variety of coffees, so that's what we ordered, my sister a Mocaccino and me a rich vanilla latte.

We didn't want anything more hearty than that because we had already had dinner, we were very full of food, but a delicious coffee never hurts anyone and I was sure that they serve the best coffees in town, because I know the methods, techniques and ingredients used by the baristas.

While we were waiting for our coffees we dedicated ourselves to talk and enjoy our time together, but my sister at the same time did not stop admiring the beauty of the place with that relaxing and bohemian atmosphere, we both considered that the music was perfect, it had a matching volume, plus I love bossa nova, so what more could I ask for? It is under that atmosphere that I work every day, of course, when there are not too many things to do, because sometimes I get stressed when I have to fill the stock of desserts and I have not received the requirements of ingredients, but this was my day off, so I just dedicated myself to relax with my sister.

Suddenly our coffees arrived, mine, the vanilla latte, was delicious, you can perfectly feel the difference between the coffee we drink at home (bagged, the most commercial) and the coffee that is freshly ground, you can perceive the aroma with more intensity, also the foam had the perfect density and a good balance in the sweetness, on the other hand the vanilla as protagonist was perfect, you could feel it but it did not predominate over the flavor of the coffee.

Hers instead was a mocaccino, it was absolutely delicious, as I tasted it, for my sister this was the first time she tried a coffee of this style, as she has always been used to the usual homemade coffees, but she thought this one was wonderful. Once you mix it with the spoon that the waiter gives you, all the content of the glass becomes chocolatey, and since they gave her more sugar to add, she felt a perfect balance between sweetness and the natural bitterness of the chocolate, definitely a delicious mix between coffee and chocolate that also gave us an extra charge of energy, which we really needed.

She was very happy with the wonderful day we were spending together when suddenly a surprise arrived at our table from me, a delicious triple chocolate Minicake, a signature recipe, that is, invented and prepared by myself as a pastry chef, it was a moist chocolate sponge cake, filled with brigadeiro sauce and covered with chocolate ganache which my sister not only found delicious, but she loved that I sang the birthday song for her while the waiter lit the candle, even though my voice was scratchy from being sick in those days.

It was beautifully decorated with peanuts and cocoa powder that formed the words “Happy Birthday” and inside a delicious chocolate ganache that spread provocatively on the plate when she spooned it open, it was the perfect accompaniment to her mocaccino.

I asked my sister that if I had to give a rating to this coffee/pastry shop which one would it be, and she answered that it would be a 10/10, not only for the delicious taste of the coffee and desserts, but for the aesthetics of the place and the wonderful attention of the waiters, plus everything was very clean and tidy, it is a delight not only for the palate but for the sight and hearing, I say this because of the music that could be heard, so it was a very pleasant experience for her. Ahh! and I must add that obviously I also enjoyed the experience on this occasion as a customer 😍.

Hola Hola gente de internet, hoy quiero hablarles de mi experiencia como comensal en Strada café, una cafetería/pastelería con un estilo muy aesthetic y bohemio. Mi hermana @mairene1 estaba de cumpleaños así que quise llevarla allí para conocer el lugar, ya que yo trabaja allí y soy la encargada de hacer todos los postres. El nombre del lugar significa "Calle" en italiano y me encanta el concepto que tiene, con una estética preciosa desde la fachada.

Para ser honesta totalmente no me gusta para nada la estética del menú, pienso que pudieron hacer un mejor trabajo con él y no simplemente poner un montón de hojas en un pisapapeles. Si el concepto del lugar es bastante bohemio y aesthetic, también debía serlo el menú, no lo sé, tal vez usar una libreta decorada con flores, algo mucho más sutil y delicado que un pisapapeles. No obstante la comida que ofrecen en el menú es muy variada y de la misma forma tienen una gran variedad de cafés, de modo que eso fue lo que pedimos, mi hermana un Mocaccino y yo un rico latte vainilla.

No queríamos algo más contundente que eso porque ya habíamos cenado, estábamos muy llenas de comida, pero un café delicioso no le viene mal a nadie y yo estaba segura que allí sirven los mejores cafés de la ciudad, debido a que conozco los métodos, técnicas e ingredientes que usan los baristas.

Mientras esperábamos nuestros cafés nos dedicamos a conversar y a disfrutar nuestro tiempo juntas, pero mi hermana al mismo tiempo no dejaba de admirar la belleza del lugar con ese ambiente tan relajante y bohemio, ambas consideramos que la música fue perfecta, tenía un volumen acorde, además yo amo la bossa nova, así que ¿Qué más podía pedir? Es bajo ese ambiente en el que trabajo a diario, claro, cuando no hay demasiadas cosas por hacer, porque a veces me gana el estrés cuando debo llenar el stock de postres y no me han llegado los requerimientos de ingredientes, pero este era mi día libre, así que solo me dediqué a relajarme junto a mi hermana.

De pronto llegaron nuestros cafés, el mío, el latte vainilla, estaba delicioso, se siente perfectamente la diferencia entre el café que tomamos en casa (de bolsa, el más comercial) y el café que está recién molido, se puede percibir el aroma con más intensidad, además la espuma tenía la densidad perfecta y un buen equilibrio en el dulzor, por potra parte la vainilla como protagonista estaba perfecta, podías sentirla pero no predominaba sobre el sabor del café.

El de ella en cambio fue un mocaccino, estaba absolutamente delicioso, ya que lo probé, para mi hermana esta fue la primera vez que probó un café de este estilo, ya que siempre ha estado acostumbrada a los habituales cafés caseros, pero este le pareció maravilloso. Una vez que lo mezclas con la cuchara que te da el mesero todo el contenido del vaso se vuelve chocolatoso, y ya que le dieron más azúcar para agregarle, ella sintió un balance perfecto entre dulzura y el amargor natural del chocolate, definitivamente una deliciosa mezcla entre café y chocolate que además nos suministró una carga extra de energía, la cual realmente necesitábamos.

Ella estaba muy feliz con el día tan maravilloso que estábamos pasando juntas cuando de pronto llegó a nuestra mesa una sorpresa de mi parte, una deliciosa Minicake triple chocolate, una receta de autor, es decir, inventada y preparada por mi misma como chef pastelera, se trata de un bizcocho húmedo de chocolate, relleno de salsa de brigadeiro y cubierta con ganache de chocolate la cual mi hermana no solo consideró deliciosa, sino que le encantó que yo cantara la canción de cumpleaños para ella mientras el mesero encendía la vela, aunque mi voz estaba rasposa por haber estado enferma en esos días.

Tenía una decoración bellísima con maní y cacao en polvo que formaba las palabras “Feliz cumpleaños” y por dentro una deliciosa ganache de chocolate que se esparció provocativamente en el plato cuando ella la abrió con la cuchara, fue el acompañamiento perfecto para su mocaccino

Le pregunté a mi hermana que si tuviera que darle un calificación a esta cafetería/pastelería cual sería, y ella respondió que sería un 10/10, no solo por el delicioso sabor del café y los postres, sino por la estética del lugar y la maravillosa atención de los meseros, además todo estaba muy limpio y ordenado, es una delicia no solo para el paladar sino para la vista y el oído, lo digo por la música que se escuchaba, así que fue una muy grata experiencia para ella. ¡Ahh! y debo añadir que evidentemente yo también disfruté la experiencia en esta ocasión como cliente 😍.
