As you well know, I love to visit new coffee shops and keep visiting the ones I like, for their coffee, attention and design. On my way I have visited different types of cafes, I have seen some with different decorations, minimalist, very original themes, simple, a little bit of everything. Almost always when I go out for any reason I try to check where to have a good coffee and this day was no exception; I was in the middle of a boulevard in the center of my city when I saw a space that I had already seen, but where there was not a coffee shop, but a shoe store and now I come across an ad that says: El Techo de la Ballena, I approached with curiosity and I see that, indeed, it is a coffee shop.
Before entering I notice, that there are two large umbrellas with their tables and chairs and a notice with what they offered besides coffee; but I decided to enter to see the interior space and if I was attracted by its atmosphere, when I entered I could see that the place was relatively small, but quite cozy, with a simple but elegant decor, with a dim lighting that invited to serenity to a conversation with friends and intimates; But the best thing is that you can see outside, the people passing by and the stores that surround it, but if you prefer to drink your coffee outdoors you can do it in the places already arranged for that.
When I was attended by the barista in person I decided to ask for a mocachino, besides he offered me other things that offer desserts, pizzas, pastichos, but I did not feel like anything else, I just wanted to vary my order, because I almost always ask for my coffee with milk; I sat at one of the small tables set up for it and waited while I took more pictures. The place where they prepared my coffee was optimal, as I could observe; I didn't wait long when almost all at once the guy brought me my coffee; I expected a specific cup with the name of the place, but he sent it to me in a disposable coffee cup, which caused me a little disappointment, I also expected my drawing with the foam, but he didn't bring it simple; but when I took my coffee, he vindicated himself a little with me.
At the moment of paying, the owners of the place, made me the comment that they had not been inaugurated long and that they still had details to resolve. There I stopped more carefully to observe and I realized that, indeed, they were still putting things in place. At that moment I understood about the disposable coffee cup heh, heh, heh. I hope that for a next visit everything will be in its right place. Out of a score of 10 I give it an 8, for the moment. Hopefully for my next visit, which I hope to do very soon, it will be a 10. In the meantime, if you ever go there, stop when you see a whale in front of you, ha, ha, ha, ha. This site is close to Plaza Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela. Greetings my dear friends, until another time!
