What's up Cinnamon Cup Coffee community! It is always a pleasure to share with you the experiences and moments, whether tasting a brand of our favorite drink or simply visiting a coffee shop in some hidden corner of my city. October 1st was a date that I had marked on my calendar and that is the date that International Coffee Day is celebrated, so I want to share with you in these lines how I celebrated this day. Let's get started!
It was 10 years ago that the International Coffee Organization (ICO) with its 77 member countries and associations proposed this date to celebrate not only the taste for this drink, but also to support the thousands of coffee growers who dedicate their lives to bringing us this magnificent elixir. My way to celebrate this day was of course in the Historic Center of Caracas.
Coming to the historic center of the city is a unique experience. You can't say you've visited Caracas if you haven't been to Plaza Bolivar and walked around its corners. I had already reviewed an excellent coffee shop in these spaces, but today I decided to visit a place recommended by a friend who shares the same taste for coffee and who left a very pleasant impression. It is located on the south corner of Plaza Bolivar, a hidden and cozy space called Constanza The Cakery Gourmet.
A Corner of Old Caracas
When you enter this coffee shop, you feel as if you were transported to Caracas at the beginning of the 20th century when we were in the middle of a transition from being an agricultural country to an oil country, when the city was in full urban boom and the first combustion vehicles circulated on the streets made of stone. The place is beautifully decorated and the most interesting thing is that the waiters dress like in Caracas in those times.
I'm not going to lie to you, the prices are a bit expensive but since this is a particularly special day we decided to treat ourselves to the $2.50 cappuccino and order a $4 dessert to go with it.
We soon received our 2 cappuccinos and now I understand why this place is so exclusive! The drink was served in cups decorated with embossed floral motifs made of Mintom porcelain, which were the most commonly used in the city in the 1910s. Accompanied by a small golden spoon for stirring in the sugar, we decided to wait for dessert before enjoying our coffee.
Later we received a wonderful dessert: a chocolate croissant with sesame seeds! Friends, if heaven exists, this is it. When we cut into it, we could see how it was filled with Nutella and it was literally fresh out of the oven.
The detail and care of the coffee cups along with that spectacular croissant made celebrating this special day with my mother worth it. Below I will show you more photos of this special order and my personal opinion.
Enjoying a vintage-style cappuccino!
This cappuccino was out of the ordinary, with that strong touch and an aroma that stimulates the senses, I had not tried one like this in a long time and the only thing I regret is that the cup was so small! I can only say that the chocolate croissant is a delicacy from the gods, crunchy and filled to the brim with delicious Nutella, its flavor has been burned into my head.
My rating for Constanza The Cakery Gourmet is four and a half stars out of 5. The service is great, the atmosphere is magnificent because it even has vintage style chairs and tables for outside if you want to enjoy your coffee outside the Boulevard. The only detail is the price, which is certainly expensive so I recommend it for truly special occasions.
And well friends, this was my experience celebrating International Coffee Day, a trip to the past of my city not through a time machine but with a small cup of coffee. I hope you liked it, you can share in the comments how you celebrated this October 1st, I would love to read your experiences and recommendations! See you in a next post friends. Best regards!

Saludos!

Hahahaha everyone is celebrating coffee day and I'm on October 1st thinking that my life is going away hahahaha I have to go find a new coffee around there to celebrate.
“Coming to the historic center of the city is a unique experience”. I agree a thousand percent, before I left, I went to the coffee shop Artesano that is still there, I think, I did not get to know Constanza but it has to be spectacular, it is that “Mintom porcelain, which were the most used in the city in the years of 1910” that is, they have made great efforts to represent the theme, the attire of the waiters marvels me.
Croissan “if heaven exists this is definitely it” hahahahahahahahahaha #ForeverGorditos always :D
I don't know what I love more, that you have a rating scale for places visited or that gif of a coffee shop so (SO) spectacular!
Happy international coffee day, your post is not only appetizing but also aesthetically pleasing, good design in general, that makes the reading experience more enjoyable.
(PS. You can't imagine how excited I was to see the street photos, I love it!)
