Tasting a delicious coffee-based beverage / Sweet orange coffee

Coffee has come a long way as a beverage, from a rich espresso to the most delicious cocktails based on this infusion.

Today, thanks to the science of foodpairing, I want to share my experience of trying a drink made with coffee.

After a delicious lunch, I wanted to enjoy a coffee and a dessert, but I had eaten a lot, and I didn't have much space in my stomach, so I chose a preparation that had coffee and was sweet at the same time.

I talked to the waiter, and he recommended I order a coffee-based drink called "Sweet orange coffee" served in a shot, which could be a good alternative for me. I followed the recommendation and could only wait for the drink to arrive at my table.

When I received my drink, it looked both tasty and elegant at the same time. It is a drink served in layers and to consume. It has to mix them to enjoy all its ingredients.

The bottom layer has orange liquor flambéed with sugar, a layer of condensed milk, a layer chocolate on top, espresso coffee, and milk foam. The unique touch of flavor is completed with orange zest and a nice latte art design. This beverage is served between 30 to 35ºC.

Everything about this drink is perfect, the combination of its ingredients and its portion. Would I order it again? Yes, but the menu of coffee beverages is so wide in this place that next time I will order a different one, and I will tell you how it went.

Hello @chaodietas,
That's really elegant indeed!
It looks so delightful, that I can almost taste it.
There must be so much precision needed to make the different layers, that I would be tempted to not stir it up, but I understand why you need to mix it to get the real flavour.
Thanks for stopping by:)

Hello @millycf1976, Yes, to make the layer is a question of liquid densities. It is an art, and you must have a lot of patience. Thank you very much for visiting and reading my post!

Orange liqueur? 😳

I've never thought of that combination before, but I know both flavors go great together and are amazing with milk. It looks exquisite.

Yes, it is a delicious combination. The current trend is to apply knowledge of culinary chemistry to make exquisite combinations with ingredients that enhance the flavor of the coffee. Thank you for visiting and reading my publication.
