Hello good coffee loving friends, today again participating in our community conversation, many cups of coffee to all 🥰☕.
As for this week's topic, yes I have stopped drinking coffee several times, one every time I got pregnant, another when I had polycystic ovaries, I was totally banned from coffee and on the other hand when I suffered from severe migraine, these are episodes in my life, I will never forget, it was not easy, I felt mixed feelings, not being able to enjoy my favorite drink, my mornings were meaningless, I had to put my best effort in every situation and every test was a blessing, I could overcome it and sooner rather than later, I returned to enjoy my beloved coffee.
"It wasn't easy, but not impossible either"😁.
Your dish is amazing! You do you call it? in Russian, its title sounds like 'cheburek' 😍
The dish only has empanadas made with easy dough and cheese, they are made from wheat flour.
Ah, empanadas is the name! I guess I understand what is the dish, judging by the look. We have this dish with a variety of fillings - it can be cheese, pork, lamb, and many others.
A Hive !PIZZA back. 😌
Here we fill it with everything, even with black beans and cheese🤤
When we have to give up coffee due to health problems it is a very sad thing, luckily you were able to recover and continue enjoying coffee. I hope you can continue enjoying a delicious cup of coffee for a long time.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕
It is very sad to give up our favorite drink, but health deserves to be paramount above all, after recovering, I enjoyed every cup of coffee. In the end it was all worth the wait 😊
Very true, it is quite sad and contradictory because coffee is also medicinal, it gives us energy and keeps us active.
@neilamarcano 👐
Thank you for allowing me to share my experience with you 🥰
It's a difficult situation because it was your health that depended on it.
But thank God you are over it all.
By the way those "pastelitos" with coffee look divine, excellent combination.
Enjoy your meal
Health always comes first, I did the best I could, I abstained from drinking coffee and when I recovered, I immediately drank coffee 🤭
The cupcakes with coffee were divine🤤
And when you get banned from something as it becomes more desirable 🤣 more than coffee is so versatile.
It's true, you feel like a sinner😅
When my wife was pregnant for the first time she tried drinking decaf coffee, but this did not last long. She continued with regular coffee, one a day. With other pregnancies she didn’t stop coffee at all.
Hope that you will never stop consuming coffee again. It is not a pleasant experience. 😵💫
The doctor forbade me from doing it since I got pregnant, due to my history of arrhythmias and cysts.
I also hope I don't stop drinking coffee, it's terrible to abstain from not being able to enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Oh, I had forgotten I cut down on coffee when I was pregnant, but I never quit it. So there must be a little caffeine in my son's DNA 😁
BTW, I'd like a bite of those empanadas 😋
Most likely, she inherited her taste for coffee from her mom, time will prove you right 😁
The empanadas were delicious 🤤
Wow, does coffee generate ovarian cysts? First time I read something like that
No, coffee does not cause it, but the doctor forbade me from it, until now I don't know why this association 😅 And why not drink coffee
Coffee quiting isn't an easy thing for someone who loves having it every time and your situation then demanded you quit for a while and being back is something amazing. You reminisce on those times you were away from coffee and returning back again feels amazing.
It's totally difficult, but I was able to pass the test, after completing the stipulated time, I saw the glory of drinking coffee 🥰
That's wonderful 😊
Those empanadas look provocative..... I love dark coffee
☕🩷
Estuvieron buenas y el café oscuro como me gusta 😁
As I had said in a previous comment only against our will we have had to give up coffee. Like all Venezuelans who found themselves in their region for the year: 2013 we suffered a serious crisis at the general level, but especially in the food supply and coffee is among the staples of Venezuelan. At the time you could find "artisan coffee" I put in quotation marks because many times they were other types of beans with coffee aroma and they sold them as if they were our wonderful elixir.
I spent a day without drinking coffee and I felt terrible, I thought that the negative effects of not consuming coffee were a lie, until it was my turn: I felt a terrible headache and everything was spinning around. I only got relief by sleeping for a while and I am sure it was due to not drinking coffee because I was well hydrated and had breakfast.
I do not wish that to anyone, on the contrary, we all deserve to enjoy what makes us happy.
I also remember that sometimes you could get coffee beans, as shown in the picture, and it was like finding diamonds because it was a guarantee that you were consuming 100% coffee. The mess afterwards was to grind it because we didn't have a grinder so we would grind it with a stone 🤭 then we would pass it through the blender. Obviously I damaged like 3 times the blades of the blenders.
Stopping coffee, for any reason is not a pleasant experience. Definitely the nightmare of every coffee lover! I think that when it comes to a coffee producing country in the case you mentioned, then it is something like a national crisis!
That's right, the crisis was serious and that was one of the most complicated aspects to deal with.
That's right, it's the same thing that happened to me in those times, it was strong, but with time one adapts and becomes independent...
Thank you for sharing your story...
Thank you to you for commenting 🤗.
Hahaha... We are a family, we make a beautiful community and friendship 🥰🥰🥰
You had your own ways to get coffee. Humans are ingenious in getting what they like and want. Damaging the blender blades was a price to pay to enjoy a cup of coffee.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕
Thanks to you for the support 🤗.
Oh, I remember those days. The worst years were 2016-17. I remember the joy when I started seeing coffee in the stores again--though not everybody could afford it.
If you miss coffee so much, and get to find decent coffee beans, oh, you're going to use whatever method to grind those beans 💯
Long live coffee--in our lives!
True, it was for that year. It was fatal
Long live coffee! ☕️
What a pity that coffee becomes one of the things you have to give up in economic difficulties.... Good thing you enjoy it while you can. A !hug 😘💜☕
Yes, crises make us value everything we have. Now we value every drop of coffee
First time I hear of someone using a blender to grind coffee, is it necessary to have a grinder?
Yes, it is necessary to have a special coffee grinder as the blender is not made for such heavy duty work. My husband has a multipurpose grinder and we used it a few days ago but it is already worn out and the coffee has to be passed through it several times.
They were very hard times, we had a terrible time, it was a bad experience that I never want to live through, a thing that we stopped drinking coffee for a medical reason, that for this reason.
I remember that I was in a bad mood, to relieve it I started drinking coffee that was made with beans that were not coffee, it made me feel so bad that I stopped making things up🤭
Despite my little health problems with a little bit higher blood pressure I have never been forced to stop drinking coffee. I think that if coffee is of high grade and quality, then there should not be any health consequences at all.
I sometimes drink 4 or 5 espressos a day and feel more than fine. I will only have to stop drinking coffee if I have no finances, which I hope has a really low probability
Coffee will always have a special place in my life!
May your finances always be good! I think you're going to be one of those old people who can love without food but never without coffee 🤭
That’s so true!
When suffering from high blood pressure, coffee should be kept in its right measure; excesses are not good.
I have read a lot of articles about the effect of caffeine on people with cardiac issues and it isn’t a problem for them at all. Of course, there are some people who suffer some negative effects from caffeine, but this is not the common case. And yet, we have to always consume every food or drink in reasonable amounts.
Just like you said, Rather, I think that here we have the habit of buying processed coffee and not beans, in addition to the quality of the beans, we do not know if they are 100%.
I'm glad you didn't have the opportunity to stop drinking coffee, at least you didn't have to be between a rock and a hard place like many of us.
Let's toast to many cups full of good coffee☕
It really seems that when you buy whole beans, there is a lower chance that they can add unhealthy substances in our favorite drink.
It's very true, I'll have to take it very seriously and buy a grinder.😁
That's super great to hear. Coffee has been part of our lives that we feel it impossible to stop taking it.
Hello my friend.
I'm glad you didn't have to give up coffee because of your illness.
And I really believe what you say, that if the coffee is of great quality, it should not cause problems, but unfortunately here in Venezuela there are brands that are relatively good, but they deceive us and link us with another substance, which deteriorates and makes the coffee fall badly, for example it gives me an upset stomach and there are times it makes me lower my blood pressure, when it's bad coffee.
Thank you for sharing your experience 🙌🙌🙌
Too bad that there is a practice to add unhealthy ingredients in our beloved coffee. And most of the time these are the bigger brands doing so. 😠
That's right, my friend, it's unfortunate that this happens, because they lose quality, they lose customers and their sales drop.
Let's hope that hopefully they will take action on the matter and improve the quality 🙌🙌🙌
This can only occur for reasons beyond our control 🤣.
You may happen to find yourself washed with tsunamy at a wild island with no coffee trees growing around, and no wallmart supermarket too. that would be no fun.
Definitely no fun. Without coffee we would be on the verge of insanity.
We always find a way to have even just a cup of coffee ☕️ 😌 😉
Not fun, it was like being in prison, but without jail 😁
You're right, before I didn't control the cups of coffee, I lost count of how many I drank🤭
For such a case, here's a picture of an empty coffee cup 🙃
Firstly, I wanted to say 'No it didnt happen to me, never!' - but then I remembered that to some extent I had to stop drinking coffee from time to time - happily the periods were very small! just 1 day or less.
I most often had to stop drinking coffee after visiting the dentist, having a fresh dental filling in my mouth... it wasn't too difficult challenge, but I feel scared about hearing one day from a doctor smth like: "Starting tomorrow - no more coffee!".. the only consolation is the philosophical understanding that humans can get used to absolutely everything...
It would be terrible news for those of us who love coffee. For this reason, we must take care of ourselves to continue enjoying our beloved coffee for a long time.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.🧐
This was a pretty and enjoyable cup, a pleasure to look at. Thank you!
The good thing about it all is that you haven't had to give it up for a long time. I'm glad you've been able to endure a day without coffee, the next day it makes you want it 100%😁☕🥰

It's so true. We're creatures of habit. I like being used to coffee 😌👌🏻 But I know, after the withdrawal symptoms cease, we could go on living without coffee, as in a coffee apocalypse. Cool.
Exactly, we humans can adapt to everything over time, even when it involves sacrifices and more for health. Thank goodness, you had a short period of time without drinking coffee.
Thank you for sharing your experience 🙌🙌🙌
Hello my dear community of coffee lovers.
In this new episode, I return with my participation, to continue conversing a little more as coffee lovers and to continue sharing our life experiences.
I tell you, that in the time of crisis here in Venezuela, it was very strong, when drastically, I had to stop drinking coffee for a day, I got headaches, I felt bad mood, it was like a casca rage, since childhood has been part of my lifting and recharge me with good energy and it is like they take away a sweet overnight, it was tremendous, but over time I learned to overcome this cruel stage.
Nowadays, I drink it moderately, since due to my health problems, I cannot abuse the drink, since my stomach problems do not allow me to do so.
I hope to recover soon, to continue savoring my favorite drink and the one that makes me wake up with good spirits every morning, when I wake up with no desire for anything...
Thank you for being part of the stories as coffee lovers... Let's keep going for more...
Withdrawal is tough, luckily you got through it and moderation is the best way to enjoy our delicious coffee. I hope you overcome your health problems and can enjoy coffee without any limitation.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕
Hello linda, thank you so much for all your support, advice and words of encouragement 🙌
Thank God I was able to overcome that withdrawal, it was really hard at first, I felt anxious, uncompensated and too restless, it's something I can't explain...
God willing, I will soon drink my daily cups of coffee, without any problem, but in the meantime, health comes first
Thank you for datatThank you for being here 🙏🙏🙏
Oh, it's a shame that your stomach is doing this to you, but it happens sometimes. I hope you're fully recovered soon!
Meanwhile, be careful. Our health always comes first 🥇
Thank you my beautiful
Yes, they forbade me because of abdominal pain, and apparently it is kidney stone.
It's better to be safe than sorry
Thanks for stopping by 🙌🙌🙌
Totally. Take care. Yours is a reversible condition if you follow treatment and your diet 🙏
It is good that in spite of your health problems, you weren’t forced to stop drinking coffee entirely. After all we all need our daily cup!
That's right, from time to time I drink it. My coffee when my body cries out for it, but not daily, I don't want to abuse 😅😅😂
Thanks for stopping by 🙌🙌🙌
Hey, coffee addicts! 😁
I once had horrible withdrawal symptoms from giving up coffee, let's see...
for maybe 9, or was it 10?
Nine hours! Yes, it was 12 hours.
Twelve very, very long h...o...u...r...s 😂
Twelve hours is how long it takes for me to die of thirst for coffee. A sientific fact for me. It happened once about ten years ago; I had to leave town without my morning coffee on a hectic day. It was almost evening when I was crawling to my hotel room, my head heavy and aching. A colleague appeared, halo and all the angelical thing: "Coffee!" He said as he extended his hand towards me holding my aromatic, steaming, exquisite coffee. Heaven!
That was my near-death-of-the-soul experience of coffee withdrawal.
Seems like forever, right?
These had to be the longest 12 hours in your life… 😁 I am happy that you managed to escape alive!
Barely! Hehe.
Life without coffee is awful, even when it's just some hours 😌
What difficult times you had to go through, luckily you had your supply of coffee at least, from where you least expected it. You can say that it was a latent miracle what happened to you. Haha.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕
A miracle indeed, hehe. Good friends know you need coffee 😌
What a lovely GIF ❤️😺
Hahaha... Good thing it was only 12 hours, imagine, my period was stronger and it was terrible at first.
Thank God you have your daily cup of coffee so you don't suffer from withdrawal 🙌🙌🙌
Addicted to coffee, hehe.
May coffee always be available, affordable, and good!
You managed to live, hahaha. Thanks to your colleague who came to your rescue with a cup of coffee. Such a long hours for someone who can't do without coffee.
Life without coffee is not for me!
Not while I can't help it 😌
Excellent Sunday of conversation coffee lovers.
Once again we are in the weekly conversation. Today we are asked if we have stopped drinking coffee for any reason and the consequences it has had on us.
Yes, I have stopped drinking coffee, but not because of health problems, but voluntarily. From time to time I give myself a break from everything, I try to do new things to take a boost and energy to new stages and challenges of life, luckily I have not suffered from some of the effects that withdrawal syndrome produces.
This has helped me a lot when coffee is scarce or cannot be bought for one reason or another and consumption must be limited or eliminated. I have to thank life for making me have a very good health and I can enjoy almost everything without being harmed.
On this day I leave you with a photo of a coffee I bought to try. This brand was highly recommended to me and I will be telling you about my experience with this new brand of coffee that I am going to try.
I hope to continue reading you in the comments.
I wish you all an excellent start of the week with lots of coffee.☕
The thought of giving up coffee for a few days or a couple of weeks has crossed my mind. I've read that then when you take it up again, your sensitivity to caffeine is higher and then you can benefit from the energy kick. But.__
I've been too weak. Can't quit it unless I'm forced, apparently 😂
Hope you enjoy this new coffee you bought ❤️
You are quite right in what you say, when you stop consuming and start consuming again it comes back stronger. I see that your bond with coffee is very strong, friend.😅
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind comment.☕
Excellent day.
A strong bond it is! Both with coffee and my coffee companions, two legged and four legged 😺😺😺
Sometimes, we might want to give ourselves break from a habit so we don't become too addicted, but once in a while, we replace them for something new just to feel the happiness in trying a new thing aside our normal routine. It's good it was a voluntary thing to give up coffee for some time.
We need to take a break and look for new things to add to our lives and make them more diverse and joyful.☺️
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind comment.☕
Excellent Monday.
That's good 👍
Excellent Monday to you, also.
I'm so glad you had to give up coffee of your own volition and not because of health issues.
There are really times the body asks us for a rest and perhaps these are times of renewal, Transformation and change of life 🙌🙌🙌
Thank you for sharing your life experience 🥰🥰🥰
Just last week, I realised I have been away from coffee for over a month now, not that I quit it but life has been dealing with me in terms of busyness and a lot of programmes I had to attend. I never thought I could go a day without drinking coffee as I used to do before.
When I realised this last week, I decided to return back because I wouldn't want to keep staring at my raw coffee in the trolley and feeling like I am wasting away money. Right now, I have more free time than before and I have decided to always drink a cup of coffee everyday since it doesn't affect me anyway - decaffeinated coffee is healthier for me.
...and for the weeks I didn't consume coffee, I didn't experience any withdrawal syndrome like some do. I'm back to my love for coffee.
That's interesting. You seem to be doing well with or without it. That's as lucky as it is odd, hehe.
Thank you 😊
It's a long period without drinking coffee, luckily you didn't experience withdrawal symptoms, you are very lucky because you can stop drinking coffee whenever you want without any major problems.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this day.☕
Yes, such a lucky one. Thank you, too for leaving me a beautiful cup of coffee ☕️ 👌
It's good that you didn't have withdrawal problems, it's the best way the body can react.
I'm so glad you're back in coffee after a month 🙌🙌🙌
Yes, I was excited to be back after such a long time. Thank you.

I rarely go without coffee, after doing yoga my coffee is my great companion, it is a very frequent habit.
Hahaha... How nice my dear friend, I am happy for you, for my part, I have been many times without coffee and at the beginning I had headaches, not anymore... hehehehe....
Take care of yourself, a big hug and a big kiss.
best regards...
Likewise my dear friend, we are in tune, I already had my coffee, after doing yoga. You are loved very much. Kisses.
Hahaha... Just me too, after walking 🙌🙌🙌
The affection is reciprocal, may you have an excellent day under the blessing of Almighty God 🙏🙏🙏

I have only once stopped drinking coffee due to gastritis because coffee gave me heartburn, however I went on a strict diet and a few months later I was able to enjoy my coffee again without feeling any discomfort.
When I read the other comments I started to think that I should reduce my coffee consumption, since I have read that it is forbidden when I have ovarian cysts, I am beginning to suspect that I have symptoms and an alert has been activated. So I better adjust my daily coffee dosage because I don't even want to think about having a day without coffee. 😥
So today it was time to start the day with this smaller than usual cup of coffee. 😊
When health is at risk we must stop consuming any food so that the body can recover. Fortunately, you can continue enjoying coffee despite your health problems, but only in small quantities so you can continue enjoying this delicious pleasure that surrounds us.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this monday.☕
Hello cute.
This is what happened to me years ago, when I suffered from gastritis, but I did my rigorous diet for three months and returned to normal
Thank God you were also able to taste a cup of coffee again 🙌🙌🙌
Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏🙏🙏
A necessary dose reduction!
In life few things represent a vice for me, coffee is the main one. I've been forced to stop drinking it a couple of times but it hasn't affected me like quitting a drug😅.
The first time I had to give it up for a long time (I'm talking 2 years) was when I had cancer treatment and it was totally out of my diet while I was in treatment and recovery. That was the only time it really affected me.
Then when I was pregnant with my first baby I gave it up for the last months of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Today I proudly tell you that I have reduced the amount of coffee in my life because I will soon be a mother again and this makes me very happy. That is why I have absented myself a little from the community since the daily dose of coffee is a small cup.
