Free coffee sounds great, but if I had to choose between having coffee for the rest of my life or $20,000, I would definitely choose the money. Why? Because if we convert that into our currency, it would be a huge amount to over 1 million Philippine peso. It could even be use to start a business, specifically a coffee-related one. If you know how to manage the money and run a business, you could eventually afford to buy different kinds of coffee of your choice.
So, why settle for coffee alone when you can have the money and the freedom to buy your own coffee?
@maria1025
I like your entrepreneurial way of thinking. That makes sense!
Man, that's such a great question!
Yes, maybe I was born a business-minded person. We had a business before- a motorcycle shop- but unfortunately, we were one of the businesses affected during the Covid-19 pandemic. We were forced to stop the operation. After the pandemic, we went back to basics, and until now, we are still hoping to get back into business. Hopefully it will be soon.

Thank you for your appreciation @cinnccf. More to come soon😊
That's clever! What you say makes sense, but I'm not sure yet, hehe. I'm slow when it comes to mathematics 🙈😂
Hehe that's so silly, as long as you know the 4 basic operations in Math, then your good to go or you can hire someone to do it for you. So, I guess you'll choose the lifetime supply of coffee 😊?
No, no, no! My lack of love for accounting won't stop me from getting my hands on that twenty thousand dollars, haha!
Money will definitely give you a lot of opportunities! Free coffee is easy, building profit is fun 😁
Exactly! Very well said, @mdosev. Gaining profit is more fun, we can buy a lot of coffee from that.😉
Yes, Indeed, we will choose the money and buy our own, and no problem now with the supplies. I love this question and I hope this is true. 😁 Cheers to that!
I agree with you! With the money you can choose when and where to have the coffee you want. And in some places of the world 20K are a lot of money. And a start a coffee business with that money sounds cool.
It is very smart your choice, you are an entrepreneur jjj I with more age and inflation in the country, I have to think calmly. Have a good day.🤗
It really depends… If I will get only low grade free coffee, then I will take the money of course! It will buy a lot of good quality coffee! Or maybe put it somewhere where I will get a good interest on it. For instance HBD savings which will generate me 15% interest per year (or actually a little bit more). This means that I will receive roughly $3000 per year or $250 per month. This sounds like an infinite free coffee! 😁
So I’ve decided! Give me the money, please!
Well, that's good mathematical reasoning! But you mentioned something about the quality of the coffee that has made me think again about what I may say next 🤔
I hope your wife is doing better 🙏🏻❤️
She is getting better! Small steps towards the recovery. But there is at least one more year before we have a relatively good recovery.
The quality of coffee always has to be good. If I receive a poor grade free coffee, then it is a big NO! 😁
She'll be fine before you know it. Meanwhile, I hope you guys can get by without much problems; it's going to be tiring sometimes, but it'll totally worth it 🙏🏻
My tolerance for bad coffee is zero these days. I might be a grown-up coffee drinker now 😂
I agree with you haha!!!! And I also chose the money to put it in HBD with the interest where I am now I can even go to a different coffee shop every day to try coffee and I would have more than half of the interest left for other things, hehe.
Simple mathematics! 😁
An investment with good dividends to buy delicious coffee for the rest of your life. A smart way to put your money to work and get a delicious coffee.
I leave you a cup of delicious coffee for this Sunday.☕
Thanks a lot!
@mdosev It's great to see you turn up!😁
I like your reasoning behind this. Makes so much sense:)
Seems like it was a year ago… when I was active here or the last time. Hope that there will be only good times in front of us!
But yes, free coffee with cash building up seems like a reasonable decision.
Oh, this is smart. I like the way you think. Oh, this is a great idea. I could have a cafe business and put it into HBD. Yey!
An infinite free coffee sounds very good jj

JJJ very good Mathematics. Have a Nice day
We have to think practical! Building profit while enjoying your favorite drink is an excellent option!
Hello, dear friends of happy Sunday coffees!
I respond to the topic of conversation knowing full well that I'm a marvel at drinking coffee and a disaster at doing the math! Hahaha...! $20,000! Wow, I can think of so many things to do with that money, it would make my life so much more caffeinated and make my coffees, of course, happier!
In my country that's a lot of money. You could buy a house and even set up a small café. However, if I may dream, I would keep the money and buy a small plot of land with a few coffee trees to have my own private coffee production. I would buy all the paraphernalia that allows you to process your own beans and make really special, tailor-made coffees.
But since I don't have much confidence in my financial judgement, so I would probably end up accepting the security of infinite coffee, as that would guarantee me a long and happier life (every time I drink coffee I feel that my life is getting longer).
By the way, today I am usurping my husband's mug, his precious surviving jam jar. I drink black coffee at my desk because I have a lot of work to get ahead of today..... ¡¡¡¡I wish I had $20,000!!!!!
@adncabrera

Twenty thousand thanks!
I feel identified! 😂
I need so many things right now that I'd make that money vanish in a couple of days. But that coffee would last forever... But what if I die before I can drink a second cup of coffee? 😳😵
Oh, how unfortunate that was. But it really makes sense, so it's better to choose the money, right? Hahahaha!
Better live forever and forever drinking coffee but with some money in the pocket!
Yeah, it's true. This is exactly what we want- coffee and money!
Totally!
I think it is a very interesting project. I have also had the idea of growing coffee, it would be something that would unite us more with coffee, almost like a lifelong marriage.
A delicious cup of coffee for tonight comes straight to your desk.☕
Nice dreams and nice wishes. May they both multiply for you, @rinconpoetico7 !
I wish I could buy a house here in Bulgaria for $20 000. The desired amount will be more like $200 000! 😳
But yeah, the point is that you have a lot of opportunities with the money!
It is a unique advantage of living in a country with a $2 minimum wage.... But let's better think about what could be done and it would be wonderful. I would be very happy growing a small plot of land and having a cafe there offering an art experience. Maybe the idea just sparked here will materialize! I would love to see a post with this dream realized!
I wish I had 20,000 too! You have an excellent idea. Everyone here is sharing their best ideas! High Five to that!
Hi, I love that you are enthusiastic. I think some here have opted for the same thing but with better thought out ideas. Ok! I think every idea is a potential reality. That's where to start!
What King of coffe are You drinking at the photo?
Hi! The coffee I have at home right now is an artisanal coffee that I bought at the local market. It comes from the Cumanacoa Valley, a town near my city. They produce very good coffee, of the arabica variety.
Looks amazing! And the cup 🤯!
Congrats
jjjj buena reflexión. A hug
I will choose $20,000.00, Because this amount is 1,160.000.00 peso worth in Philippines is a huge amount and can make a lot of things, like I have 10Hectares land in Philippines somewhere in Davao, what I do if have this amount of money, I can plant a coffee tree's in the land and we can have free coffee not only my family also the Neiborhood. and the coffee plantation its also can make profits not just free coffee for whole life. when I read this Challege I exited to share my thoughts about this question.

Your free coffee will require a lot of additional work, but after all it will definitely worth it. Growing your own coffee… brilliant!
Yes, and I can give Free coffee for the workers in the plantation and also the have a work for they're family. anyway thank you for appreciating
Ant this is a very generous act! Wish you luck with your dream. Maybe one day you will have the means and make all this happen!
Yes, all this is my dreamed that's why I bought land in Philippines last 2020, but for now I have no fund to continue the project hopping for someday it will happen. thank you for wishing a good luck.
anyway your so generous my friend sir, thank you for putting upvote to my reply to you, I' am so glad to know you here.
A good mindset. Investing to coffee plantation is great. Sharing to the neighborhood is a gesture of gratitude. It's a sign of giving back and creating wealth😍
actually, in Davao my grandparents already have coffee trees for own use, then our neighborhood used to come and ask for coffee we also have cocoa trees until today and all our neighbor they just take for free. all people staying there they share for what they have if they veggies or fish in their farm they will share when they harvest. its normal action for us as we staying in the simple and very humble community.
Wow that's great to hear. Sharing to the neighborhood the crops not only speaks kindness it also strengthen the bond with each other.
For us its like normal they already doing it from our grandparent's time even if the neighbor no sault they just come and ask to the next house.
It's so heartwarming that you think so generously about the coffee you could provide for your community. It's really nice!
Coffee is almost as important as water here in my country, hehe, so I guess I'd be happy to provide my family, friends, and neighbors with free coffee 😌❤️
Yup, if you have a land like me and have a fund why not. 10heactares is a huge land not only coffee can plant it's also famous in Davao my hometown the cocoa trees, until today we still have. and this coffee and cocoa you can enjoy harvesting for 20-30 good years. I remember when I was young, we use to clime and hanging the coffee trees. then the ripe one we use to munching while playing like a candy then the seeds we save and dry to the sun after drying my grandma she will put on the pan with sugar then make a coffee. what a memory lookback for me!😍
Generating profits in addition to putting your work and property around something you love can be a good idea. Hopefully you can get that plantation into production.... The land is already there, it's more than just a dream!
Yes, its really a big dream for that's will be the project I do if have some fund, hopping for soonest.
You have a business vision on how to use money and not lose the coffee supply. A very good answer to the question of the week.
A cup of coffee is leaving for the Philippines.☕

Thank you for overwhelming appreciation, I really appreciate a lot and my hearts are jumping.

Its my pleasure to join the coffee conversation, beside of being so fun to have this kind of conversation sharing is more meaningful for me.
Why not CDO? We have a lot of beautiful places here, and Cagayan de Oro is the basket of Mindanao. There is a lot of opportunity with 20,000. I can do so many things with that. 😍
In the city area can also open a coffee shop which is you can have free coffee with passive income right?
Yes, you are right @anlizapasaje1234. Way to go! How I wish!
Hey, coffee friends!
Hope you had a nice weekend 😌
Life is like now you see me, now you don't, so I'd take the money and travel to some nice cities across the sea and try their coffee at a nice café because I don't know if I'm going to live long enough to make a lifetime supply of coffee worth it. And if I do, which I hope I do, then I will have done something very good with that money, don't you think? Hehe.
I think that I'd have enough money left over to buy excellent coffee for a long time. Maybe I could buy and sell coffee and multiply that money and buy more and more coffee, enough to make a coffee-addicted elephant happy.
Travelling sounds wonderful and trying coffees from different countries is very interesting. Great idea for the coffee question.
A cappuccino is coming out for you at the table.☕
A nice trip and delicious coffee. Sounds good, right?! That's what I thought, and you still get to have a lot of money left.
Thank you so much for that cappuccino ❤️

Have a nice week ahead, awesome @cinnccf team!
I hope to live long enough too, but I'm definitely with you. Take the money to travel and have new experiences that involve a coffee here and a coffee there, sounds like a fantastic plan to me.And much more attractive today for me than a lifetime supply of coffee. So cheers to your choice ☕️ and happy week!
That lifetime supply might sound better we were teenagers 🤣
Have a happy wee ahead, you too!
Meanwhile, seize the day! And that coffee!!! 😁
While I think about the possibility of drinking free coffee for the rest of my life I have this delicious cup of coffee. What could be better than that for persuading myself about that as the best option? .I really drink abundant coffee and just thinking about getting it for free at any time, sounds tempting. I have another sip and I make my decision" COFFEE FOR FREE" I am very exited to know about your decisions. I'l read you in your comments.
@maylink
What can I say, eh?
Ummm... A dedicated coffee-lover you are.
May all your days be coffee-licious and a latte-fun 🤗
Give me a cup of coffee and I'll die peacefully, I once heard someone say. There are some things that money can't buy.😋
A cup of Sunday coffee for you☕

Thank to you. A cup coffee is my happiness

Think again: 20000!
Think about all You can do with that 😊
Think about it drinking anything but coffe 🤭
You tell me later
Well between coffee and beer I am in trouble jjj
While sipping my coffee, I thought about it, and in my case, I would choose the $20,000 in cash.
Reasons:
I make it a point to work at places where I can drink free coffee (bonus points if there’s a barista).
With the interest earned on the cash, I can buy coffee and related goods.
I limit myself to two cups a day, so the cost of coffee isn’t much of a concern.
Really two cups a day is little. Now I understand your choice
Yes, this quetion gives us very good opotunity for us to understand other member's coffee life.
I'm enjoying answers from other members!
You came to the exact same idea that I thought of. Extremely witty to put your cash somewhere where an interest would be generated and then enjoy free coffee again. And if you have some spare in the end of the month you will have some additional bucks to boost your interest!
I also read your post, and you’re absolutely right—I had forgotten that putting it into HBD would yield a higher interest rate. Thank you for the valuable insight!

@sabosuke Clever! Aren't you?
Thanks!
You're welcome:)
A coffee business where, in addition to making money, you can also drink free coffee is a very good idea. A business idea tailored to the passion for coffee.
A cup of coffee is coming out for you this Sunday.☕
I've been considering whether to buy corporate bonds recently, and this idea came to mind.
First of all, I think it is fantastic that these conversations are back.☕️😍 I saw it during the weekend and I didn't have the chance to join but I see that I'm still on time. 😅
I'm a coffee lover but my choice would be to keep the $20,000. I would put it in HBD savings and with the 15% annual yield I can drink all the coffee I usually drink. I don't think I could or would want to drink more than I already do haha, and I would still have enough for other stuff.
The coffee I shared yesterday Sunday with my husband in a small coffee shop in Bogotá.
With the interest of the 20 K savings in HBD, here I could have a coffee like this every day with my husband or a friend and I would have more than half of the interest left for other things. ;)
@coquicoin It's a delight to see you pop by!

My pleasure 😊💕☕️
I have always loved coffee, ever since I began working. It keeps me energized and helps me think clearly, especially after I've had a cup. When I visit my friend's house, I often enjoy free coffee, which is always a nice perk! While I appreciate the free coffee, I would prefer to have $20,000 in cash. That’s a substantial amount, and with it, I could start a business called "HIVE Cafe," showcasing different coffees from around the world. All members of HIVE would be able to visit this cafe and receive special perks. Additionally, there would be a room dedicated to coffee lovers from around the globe, featuring pictures of all the Hivers on the wall.
Entrepreneurial mindset, jjj go ahead A hug

However, $20,000... right now would guarantee me a carefree future. Thinking about my children, I think the answer would be obvious. It would be a sacrifice to make for them. That's my answer right now: the $20,000.
Maybe if you ask me in the future, it might change, but today it's that.
I'm not really a contest-hunting woman, but the one proposed by @cinnccf caught my attention and inspired me to have this #coffeeconversation with you. The answer would be like Sofia's decision. I can't imagine life without coffee. Many of my most pleasant moments and best memories from my childhood and youth are related to coffee. Even some more recent ones. I travel back in time and relive them every day through the smell of freshly brewed coffee. My day always starts with it. And going back to Sofia's decision, can't you give me 10,000 and I'll stop drinking #coffee for the rest of my life?
Would you really stop drinking coffee for 10 thousand dollars? Me, at this point in my life I don't think so. Although to the question of the conversation I choose to answer give me the 20 K and I'll buy my coffee when I want hehe.
For 10k i could stop drinking coffee for a half of my time life... not stop at all.
For 20k, i Will do the sacrifice 😆
Maybe tea is a better choice than coffee and we don't know it. 😂😂
Excellent Sunday of conversation coffee lovers.
Today I come with my participation in the conversation of the week of our beloved coffee group.
It is a question that has its point to analyze. Choosing money or a lifetime endowment of coffee. The truth is that I would choose the money, not because of greed but because several opportunities open up before a scenario of this nature. That is to say that with the 20,000 dollars, it is possible to invest, either in growing one's own coffee or in setting up a coffee shop to share what we love the most with other people.👥
The coffee supply would be permanent and besides enjoying our passion, we can earn a few dollars and share the magic of delicious coffee. This was my participation in the weekly question.🤓
I hope to continue reading you in the comments.
I wish you all an excellent start of the week with lots of coffee.☕

A big hug, friends.☕
Happy new week!
Coffee for free, its always tempting because I love coffee but I have to be honest. I would take the 20,000. There is so much I could do with that amount, including coffee for free for many other people.
You're so kind to think about the other people you could make happy with that money. I feel selfish, hehe.
Also, what you say is simple and smart, as you can buy a lot of coffee with that money!
A world of possibilities opens up with that amount of money. Making other people benefit from the goodness of coffee sounds lovely.
A delicious cup of coffee comes out for the table.☕

Coffee because I drink it every day.
I guess you like simple logic, eh?

@prapanth It's great of you to start the conversation:)))

It would be great if you stick around to engage with others and meet other community members:)))
Hello!...Hoping everyone here having a great day! While taking my late lunch with my best choice cold coffee latte from my hectic schedule today. And I decided to visit my account on HIVE.BLOG while spending my time eating my lunch and I navigated some communities and I saw this pinned post and I read it and it pushed me to drop my comment in your comment sections. And I was so amazed your question choosing a free coffee for the rest of our life or a cash worth $20,000. In my own perspective, Wow! Your question is so enticing for the coffee lovers. If I will be given a chance to choose which one, would it be? I will be choosing money worth $ 20,000 even though I love coffee so much. Why I’m choosing cash? It simply because this kind of amount when you change it into our currency it’s a big quantity of number. And it helps a lot, not only for myself but also for my family as well. Especially me and my daughter facing and fighting for our health issue. And aside from that, the rest i will invest it and it can start a small business-like grocery store, a small coffee shop or we buy it a small cut of land area to make it a coffee farm or a cacao farm in our province for source of income in the future. That’s all. And here’s my COFFEE LATTE BUDDY ENTRY that good to awake my sleepy afternoon head… Thank you for reading my simple reflection…

@melche06
It's my pleasure @cinnccf to be here in your community. Looking forward to do more blogging here...
I think we coffee lovers dream of being able to produce our own coffee or open a coffee shop to enjoy the passion of aroma and flavor with more people, if we had the means.☺️
A cup of coffee for you on this Monday.☕

I'll choose the $20,000, that's a lot of money where i can also secure lifetime supply of a good coffee. That's a win-win situation😃. And I can invest for my son's Drip Coffee business.

😍
Hmm, what a great idea. May your dream become a reality one day:)

Greetings friends, This morning when I came back from yoga, my husband was awake, so I took this picture of him serving me coffee. Before leaving the house for my activity at 6:15 am. I had read the question and the truth is that I didn't have to think much about my answer: I'll keep the 20,000 dollars, with that I can buy coffee for the rest of my life and a few more things. 🙂 🙂🙂🙂
@damarysvibra 😁

Though, I love coffee that much, I will choose 20,000 Dollar. That's already a big amount of money. I can be a blessing to others. I will do an outreach program to the young street children. I can provide foods to stray animals, and build my own Coffee Shop business since in my area there is no Coffee shop that's near.

I love this coffee conversation! I will post before the timer runs out!
Hello coffee lovers, this conversation is very interesting, really the point of choosing between 20000 and a free coffee makes us think, but it all depends on thousands of factors.

As I write I had a cup of coffee with warm milk and left my little bit of coffee to enjoy a little bit at a time. Definitely as inflation is in my country and how difficult it is to start a business, plus me that I am living my third age, I choose a free coffee, I enjoy it immensely, without worry or stress, I guarantee one of the vital things for my life, and believe that as prices are going the choice is not unreasonable. I tell you that a cup of coffee in Old Havana can cost between 850 and 1000 Cuban pesos, that is half the pension of a retired person. A big hug
.
Coffee over money. Of course, I would choose the money, how I wish I could get it and use the money to invest in that time I can travel, buy whatever I want, and I can taste different flavors of coffee in this world.
I think you were presented with the same dilemma as I was: even hypothetically, whichever way you look at it, it's a very difficult decision to make. I think I have a new topic to think about during my sleepless nights.
Very smart choice, an investment in coffee. In this capitalist world, money can buy almost everything, so money can buy the craving for coffee. Haha. ☕
I leave you a delicious cup of coffee for this day.☕

Sounds very wise, I would definitely choose something similar, just like you!

Smart choice!
