One of the things that I am most notorious for to friends and family is my insatiable quest for a chill coffee spots in places I visit. When we recently visited Bogo City in northern Cebu for a pilgrimage, I never missed the opportunity to look for a quaint coffee shop to chill in before heading home. There, a few steps from Gaisano Bogo is a small shop with a vintage-chill vibe: Urban Café.
The Set-up
I am not sure if this is owned by the same people behind a couple of Urban Cafes in other parts of the province but the set-up here is more appealing to adults, skipping the cute bunk beds and rooms for tables and a couch.
They also have these solo hanging tables probably for those who just want to enjoy a cup to themselves. Here’s my friend, Ivy, enjoying her tea. If these look familiar, it is probably inspired by the single ramen tables that went viral a couple of years back.
Here is the couch for sharing coffee with friends.
If you are out with your loved one, here is a table you can share.
Menu
Urban Café has a range of coffee and tea offerings in hot and cold brew. Here’s my order of a hot latte while my friend ordered a glass of cold tea.
They also have muffins and Korean food if you want to grab a bite.
Is it Worth the Stop?
If you happen to be dropping by Bogo’s main business district and just wants to pause for a bit, Urban Café is a good place to visit. The coffee is good and the ambience is also nice. But if you are broken-hearted you may want to skip the music because they play a lot of hugot songs.
