Have you tried drinking other grains for coffee? Barley and fig coffee are great. Also dandelion root coffee is a wonder, you'll be surprised, give it a shot when you're up for some foraging

I have tried some but it's hard to kick one of the oldest habits I have, I guess and I'm clearly not willing to give it up, as of yet.

Fig coffee sounds intriguing though.
